Forums - Gaming - Oh my god, Red Dead Redemption is AMAZING!

Yeah I think I'm just gonna buy it once I get some more money at this point.

It really is amazing. The last time I was this excited and had this much fun playing an open world game was when GTA3 came out for PS2. RDR is so much better than GTA4 it isn't even comparable.

I agree 100%. Thought I must say I enjoyed San Andreas more because of the huge amount of stuff you can do.

They literally took the best parts out of GTA IV (physics/animations/A.I)and improved upon/scrapped the rest.

The graphics are also a huge leap up. The detail in the background is amazing. Even over a mile away you can still see vegetation and other props unlike every other openworld game this generation on consoles which renders low res blocky textures and a few low poly props.

It's not released here in Sweden til tomorrow.

Barozi, its out in Germany?

I've been playing with the lasoo for way over an hour now.

I lasooed a thug, hog-tied him ran over him with my steed a few times and then hoisted him on the back of it and took him over to a train track and dumped him on it. Eventually I get fed up waiting for the train so I cut him free and he limped off desperately. He didn't get far as I lasooed and hog-tied again and then put him down in the Marshal's office.

This makes me so freaking excited.

Kiefer tell me, are the GTA:San Andreas glory days back?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

It's sitting just there, but I am going to make myself wait for another week, I can't get addicted with 2 exams next week

Just picked it up today and will start playing once I finish my first 3DDGH playthrough.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

There's still realism, but it feels more like a game. They're not afraid to put unlockables and tons of cheats in it. One thing about GTA IV was there wasn't much in the way of rewards. 100% completion got you nothing really.

yeah since yesterday or so.

Was there any doubt that it wasn't going to be awesome?

I was going to get red dead redemption but something keeps holding me back. I swear I will get it if e3 is lackluster though.
