Final Fantasy Showdown Round #1 -- Rate FF7!

I have played FF6 & can rate it 14 13.86%

I have played FF4 & can rate it 4 3.96%

I have played FF4 & FF6 20 19.80%

I have played al FF's 42 41.58%

I love FF 21 20.79%

Total:101

I will give it a 10. My reasons are just like Nen-seur. FF VII for me is the whole package from great story, memorable characters, Great music, Materia is just awesome, Really loved the mini-games.
BTW I disagree to the one who said that FF VII lacks the exploration. I mean if you don't feel like continuing the story you can just look for the strong materia and there ultimate weapons or just play the mini-games.

11/10 (or 10/10 lol XD)

7 / 10.

I wasn't a fan of the "dirty" environments, and much of the music (the synth sounds, see the battle theme), though. The graphics are also probably the worst in the series, and I'm not too fond of the cast.

Although it's one of my least favorite FF's, it's still an FF. A few standout tracks, a decent battle system, and a handful of memorable moments make the game worth playing.

10/10 loved it, put about 500 hours into it

  • The characters are forgettable
  • The villain is meh
  • The story is just confusing and boring.
  • The graphics were incredible for the time but the gameplay parts still looked bad and definitely looked worse than the painted backgrounds and drawn sprites from previous games.  What ended up were horrible looking characters and hard to navigate environments

It's sad that people like the OP exist who just assume the Final Fantasy series *really* started at VII and that people don't care about the previous games.

OMFG! KEFKA HAS COME TO KICK MY ASS!

OT: 6/10 Even at the time, the in-game graphics didn't come close to anything the N64 could produce.

Errr... WTF?! At the time, nothing on PS1 or Saturn could come close to what N64 could produce.

Yes?

8,5/10

Really good.

I haven't played it. But if you'll allow me to rate it based on its music alone, I'll give it a 9.9/10 because it's really good :)

I LOVE ICELAND!

I really enjoyed FF7, and I probably played it more than any other FF game, but I can't give it anything higher than an 8. It's a great FF, but not my favorite. Not that 8 is a bad score or anything =)
