If you guys want to go based by wording, when I hear someone say "We're near this amount sold" usually to me it means they are close to selling that amount. In this case, Sony has is close to finally hit 30 millions PS3 sold to customers.

On the other hand, if they have had said "We have sold over 30 millions to customers" then that means they have officially sold 30 millions.

Conclusion: PS3 = overtracked!

PS3 sell through was roughly 30m through Dec, and they are saying 500k in the stated region.
