Like 85-90% of PS5 sales are digital, the majority don’t care.

It's no use. These people only speak money.

They would only backpedal if their games and systems start to flop sales wise. Which will not happen, because gamers (especially console gamers) tend to just swallow everything as long as they can play their favourite games.

Do those digital sales include instances where physical wasnt an option? Id like to see the real data that pits phsyical vs digital 1:1 and see how the splits are

This... kind of. Might also have to make your voice heard so if sales underperform, they know why. Of course that requires sales to underperform first.

honestly, i dont really feel like i lost. 

ive complained a lot about this last generation, at least from the sony and microsoft side, but at this point, im glad it turned out the way it did. its been five years and i have i think 15 games from those two systems combined. normally i could easily collect 100+ in a generation. point is, im used to not caring about whatever theyre doing. thinking about the ps6, is this going to be a console that i am even going to care about anyway? not at this rate. so i dont feel like ive lost anything. its been a slow ride to completely not caring, so i appreciate generation 9 for getting me to that point. 

i have a shit ton of back catalogue of switch 1/2, ps4, xbox one, ps3, 360, wii and wii u games, itll honestly last me forever. 

if nintendo ever went full digital, which isnt a given, id probably just download the mario/zelda/metroid type games. but who knows, maybe i wont. games just have a completely different feel to them when they dont even exist in physical reality, so maybe ill even stop caring about that too.

They don't care about petitions. The only language they understand is money. So the right answer is to not buy consoles and games from them anymore. Which is exactly what I am planning to do. The PS5 Pro is my last PlayStation. I mean, I won't say forever, maybe someday something changes for the better. But as of right now, I'm already looking for new hobbies, lol.
