Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you have a retro room or gaming setup?

It's a rainy day and I don't have much to do around the house, so I decided to go downstairs to the basement and continue setting up my retro area. Still have some stuff to locate, like figuring out where in the hell my R.O.B. is and also digging out my old Atari 2600. Anyone else also here have an area for retro gaming?

Punch-out makes for great fun with friends over. I was so happy when I moved in and saw the previous owners left me an old CRT.

Pic is blurry. I need to take a new one as this was taken shortly after moving into my house ~3 months ago.

I also have a few shelves down in that room filled with NES, Genesis, N64 & Atari games. The majority of them are in the shed, packed away in large plastic bins.

Updated pic, but still missing R.O.B., my Atari 2600 and all the games that cannot be seen.

Once upon a time I had a dedicated room, but not anymore.

I plan to create some kind of "man cave" when I move into my first house, though.

I like your set-up

The tv in my bedroom has nearly all my old consoles hooked up to it. Ready to play with a game in and the controllers attached, so all I have to do when I wake up an hour too early is switch one of them on. They're all stuffed in the rack that the tv's on. Once I get a bigger space, I'll make a set-up like yours .

Wow. I wish I was as passionate as you, sir!

I have the consoles, but without space to assemble a room for them :(

I have a gaming room. It's my escape. If my house catches fire, that's the room I'll run to. I can toss everything out of the window since everything is in one place.

I wouldn't necessarily call my room 'retro' but it's host to the oldest systems I've got. (Also my beloved VHS recorder )

Ughh... I need to get another Dreamcast.

I would love to play some Powerstone with buddies. One of my favorite multiplayer games of all time.

I'll probably end up doing this with 6th, 7th, and 8th gen one day.

My collection in the photo from the OP is my consoles growing up. I've saved them all. That NES isn't my original one though. That one is in that room, but not hooked up. It works, but the cart doesn't stay down. It requires me to place a cart in, push it down and then while holding it down place another NES cart inside.

It also can't really be seen, but that N64 is decked out with Zelda stickers and the controller has the Majora's mask logo on the center, also a sticker. Yeah, i'm a Zelda fan.

I even have old (and WORKING!) PS1s, but they are in my parent's attic.
