How duable hardware-wise would a PS4 Portable be?

Atm for a $300 price point and good battery life. None. When the Nvidia Ampere chip arrives and waits 2 years then yes. I suspect Nintendo Switch 2 will likely use a 2nd gen Ampere Nvidia chip in 2022-2023 and since Nintendo legit cares a lot oddly about lighting they may even add a couple of RTX cores. (Ray Tracing). Sony, however, is not doing another hand held sadly.

Yay now I can finally resume my legend of dragoon playthrough once PS5 launches next year!

Edit: Replying to bralod.

Where did you stop?

Right around the time the green dragoon dies I believe.

Vita used cards, not cartridges.
I think old people calling cards "cartridges" is the new uninformed people calling cartridges "tapes."

Some Switch owners insist on calling the Switch game cards "cartridges" even when it says "card" on the slot.

Nothing important, just a 30-year-old pet peeve of mine =)

I'd say there's a very important distinction there. They are totally different technologies.

I call them mini hucards after the PC Engine Hucards

Damn, that's mid disc 1

Lol I know. I always get sidetracked or lose interest around that part somehow. One day I’ll finish it. 😉

Could the blacked out portion in the middle of the V be an attempt to try and hide a cartridge/expansion slot?

You are hotlinking an image so one of them doesn't show up. The blacked out part is more likley just a label and number of the unit which Sony could track down to who leaked the image and hit them with a lawsuit for breaking NDA.

Looks more like a PAL version of the SNES cartridge.

Will be interesting to see where this goes.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Playstation branded, plug and play expansion drive. If they only launch with 1-2tb and the average game ends up being a whopping 100-150gb it would only make sense.

Do SSD have a label on them? And why the big hole at the bottom? This is much more looking like a Vita 2 Cartridge. I'll be praying everyday so it turns up to be one. Please, the Vita 2, please...
