Xbox One X will also still be a viable console because I don't expect PS5 and Xbox scarlet to be drastically better. Which might be a great option for those on a budget when next gen starts.

You’re going to have a rough awakening then. The new CPUs alone will make X1X look incredibly outdated in less than one year already.

Better frame rate won't matter that much for casuals which make up the majority of console gamers. If they walk into GameStop or watch youtube comparisons and the big difference is just frame rate, they might just shrug their shoulders and get xbox one x since it will play all the games for a cheaper price.

As an Xbot myself I found the show pretty lackluster. They could've paced this way better, and be finished within one hour.

Also, even though a lot of things were nice (in particular that forza horizon 4 expansion), the show lacked that "one more thing" that would've made decent for me.

Though you are right to an extent, a few posters just came here to shit on xbox like they always do.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I thought the show was good and fun wtf gamers always expecting a ton and overreacting having no new games doesn't make a show bad if that wasn't its purpose

So what was its purpose? Gamepass advertisement?

Besides that we didn't get much new information.

So besides the 16 game pass games we got:

- Forza Horizon 4: Treasure Island Expansion

- State of Decay 2 Zedhunter free dlc (also return to trumbull county in 2019)

- Sea of Thieves: The Arena new mode announced

- Microsoft acquires InXile Entertainment

- Winter of Arcade is making a comeback

- kb/m support detailed, coming next week, all compatible games announced

- and the best part of the show,  the damn cats and pandas lol

- Devil May Cry 5 "the void" mode premiered

besides this, brand new trailer for Just Cause 4, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider DLC.

I can see why you're disappointed (I'm disappointed too), but I think this was an event geared towards people who are already in their ecosystem rather than convincing other why they are the best place to play. That was E3.

Though, I have to admit, they shouldn't have used the "X0" name for this, since the previous one are on a bigger scale than this.

This event was basically what I was expecting. It was like a regular Insider Xbox episode, but with some extra stuff. Nothing mind blowing but some knowledge on a handful of games. I was disappointed to not hear about Ninja Theory's new game, but at least we got confirmation that a reveal next year is happening, likely E3. Confirmation of Obsidian being bought was great, and InXile being picked up was a nice surprise. Anyone expecting mind blowing new game announcements was going to be disappointed.

The event overall was meh and could've been shorter, just like every Insider Xbox episode honestly. I'm happy MS is really being aggressive with their 1st party. I watched it mostly for Crackdown 3 news, new first party developers announced, and Ninja Theory's new game. I got 2/3 at least.

Can you provide a source for this?

Phil Spencer teased it during an interview.

Don’t tell me you believe the forward compatibility talk by MS.again, it won’t take a year until new games won’t support X1(X) anymore.. just like every gen before it.

The thing is a lot of current PS4 owners were Xbox owners last gen and would go to play on Xbox if they had a reason to. I think thats the irony of people saying its just Sony fans moaning.

The problem most of the time is perspective, I am a Sony fan but also a gamer, designer etc, I can have an unbiased view and have called out Sony when they do crap. The problem ends up that the most hardcore fans will defend something and just blame the other side (bit like politics).

The Xbox show was mediocre, the audience was a pain, and it was as others have said a big ad for Gamepass... the problem with MS is they keep making the same mistake that most companies (EA for example) make, which is make their shows a single focus. Xbox focus was gamepass, which I'm sure for people using it is a great service, but you have to be careful not to be looking at forcing that down peoples throats as you lose the message of here's just some games for you to play. The show reminded me a little of TV TV TV...

They could have cut an hour off the show, made it much tighter, calmed down the audience and that would have improved the show greatly.
