That's awesome news. This should be the standard for fighting games. Just sell cosmetics as micro if you wish but keep the actual meat and potatoes content free.

Hey, it worked for Splatoon! Why not try it again?
Besides there are a lot similarities between the two:
- New IP
- Unique, different twist to an established genre.
- Cel-shaded type of graphics
Clearly theyhave faith in ARMS, and after that Direct, I can see why.

So, I wonder how long they'll support the game for. But it's great that there'll be free DLC,as that's the only kind that I can support!
ARMS also looks like the game that will really utilize the joy-cons. Yes I know you can use a pro controller but I think with this one the motion controls look on point.

When did "cel-shading" become shorthand for "colorful/cartoony?" Neither of these games use cel-shading.
I loved this in Splatoon, I fell back in love with the game all over again with every free update that game got!
Guess I must have my terms mixef up because cartoony and colorful is what i meant
