NX will probably have its own event later on, I'm guessing possibly between August and October.

E3 is just a phone in for Nintendo at this point, as is pretty much all of 2016.

2017? I am so happy!

It is good to have one more full year of WiiU!

3-4 months more, not a full year.

Also, Zelda has been delayed to 2017 and the Wii U's holiday lineup is completely barren at the moment. So it's an empty 3-4 months more.

3 months =/= full year, and what's the point if there's no games?

With tons of great Nintendo games to play right?

What does nintendo even have for 2016? Big titles other than Mario Colour Splash (sticker star game) +  Mario & sonic Rio ?

so every prediction can be explained with:

well he just got lucky that either something went wrong or everything was perfect so they could get the release done on time.

He certainly wasn't right because of his reasoning. That sentence also applies to your last post towards me.

and what is the reason for nx coming 2017 then?

Could also be announced at TGS in September. Would kinda make sense for a Japanese company at least.

I thought Nintendo doesn't do TGS?

As said already, because something went wrong with NX development.

NX won't simply replace WiiU AND 3Ds? So it is a fusion platform? Otherwise why mention both home- and handheld consoles?

That is the million dollar question that everyone is ignoring and it frustrates me to no end.

Nintendo has said on multiple occasions that the Nx isnt a replacement.

When people get serious about taking about the Nx they will discuss what this statement means.

Otherwise its as unintelligible as listening to ProtoMario.

Well, seeing how they have been dropping the WiiU like a hot potato since last year, I'm  going to say they're at least bending the truth on the 'no replacement' part of that statement.

I think it's as much 'not a replacement' as the DS was 'not a replacement' for GBA. It was though.

And seeing how they have ben winding down wiiU support and (seemingly) throwing everything behind NX I don't see how it won't replace WiiU, unless it's something crazy, like an add on. But then again, if it was, they wouldn't have to wind down their support for wiiU, so that points to it being it's own thing.

I just find it very interesting how they keep including the 3ds in these official statements, when talking about the NX.

I guess we'll see what it all means eventually, but I've got to say, not including NX in E3 and letting all this negativity brew for even longer must be one of the stupidest Nintendo decisions I've seen in a long time.

There's nothing to be gained by that. They won't appease WiiU owners with it, because they have no games for that clearly dying system and they won't appease the general public with a weak showing at E3 and a seperate console reveal that is likely to get less press either. Why not show everyone something new and exciting, even if it arrives in march instead of the holydays?

I hope the ARM processor will make ports easy enough.

I LOVE ICELAND!

There's gonna be a lot of crow avatars around here. i knew it. Nintendo is more likely to stick to tradition/their launch pattern than to stray from it. 2016 was too early.
