Well, this thread devolved almost immediately. This right hete is why fanboys don't express any disappointment with their chosen flavor, it's seen as an opening for haters to exaggerate the intended negativity to unforseen new heights.

Well, the victim mentality is strong in some fans on all sides it seems :). I don't see Sony getting any more criticism than MS or Nintendo, and it is rarely welldeserved on any side. But the main thing I think is that Sony has few high profile exclusives coming out this year and the one that could have meant a lot during the spring (The Order, Bloodborne is much more niche) disappointed many fans. Sony has been upfront from the beginning that we will see less AAA titles this Gen and it seems they are giving their teams a lot of development time, which is good.

Personally, I would expect more from a market leader but I wouldn't say PS4 deserves any real criticism because it does get a steady stream of great games.

Honestly, this is pretty much on point. 

If Splatoon gets panned for reviews, expect backlash from Sony/MS fans. MS shows off a Kinect Rare game (or something like Project Spark Conker), expect backlash from Nintendo/Sony fans. 

Sony's been hit with Uncharted delay, and R&C delay, therefore backlash will result from it. And not all backlash comes from the other sides, people might be genuinely upset with the direction of one's preferred company. Circle of life. 

Mortal Kombat 10 can be enjoyed on PC with ultrasmooth FPS and details all maxed out(still requires a high end rig), but still gamers opt for console versions as enjoyment factor isn't downplayed one bit. It's one clear example of how 3rd party software can be driving hardware sales. MK 10 has been reported to have broken the record for previous installments in the franchise. So there is no point in bashing consoles over the exclusivity. PS4 already did itself a favor with Bloodborne within this time-frame of the year.

Makes a change from the usual hate of pc gamers and sony fanboys popping up everywhere xbox is mentioned.

Also funny how all of the blame is put on the Xbox fanbase, when a lot of the negativity, including threads, in the last couple days came from me.
