Forums - Nintendo Discussion - My favourite game has been destroyed...

Hi guys

Just turned my Wii U on to play some Bayonetta 2 and found that the disc wasn't in the drive. But Bayonetta 2 is always in the drive. Checked the case...nothing. Did some searching around the house and found it scratched to pieces. My heart sank. My 4 year old was apparently skating on it around the house yesterday afternoon. My wife thought it was just some old CD and although she had told my daughter to stop, she thought it was nothing of value and didn't really enforce it. Cleaned it up the best I could and tried it and of course it doesn't work. The scratches are too deep. It has actual chunks taken out of the data side.

I'm pretty bummed. Kind of feels like I did when I was a kid and my remote controlled car got smashed by some obnoxious kid. I know I'm a grown ass man, but I can't help it. I'm going digital for everything from now on.

I'll get over it but this happened literally 10 minutes ago. Figured you guys might understand.

Peace

Torn-City - MMO text based RPG, join me! :)

Try to send it in for a replacement. I don't know how exactly Nintendo handles stuff like that, but most publishers do that kind of stuff for a few bucks. I remember I once sended in a CD to EA (yes, the evil empire!! :P) and got a new one for about 5€.

But I also went digital on my PS4 because of my 2 year old son. ^^

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

I'll see what Nintendo say. Hopefully they can do something.

I don't have kids nor do I want any but I have plenty of nieces and nephews. I learned very quickly to make sure to put anything of value outside of their reach when they're young.

One of my old Playstation Underground demo discs got taped to our mailbox as a reflector :(

Yeah nothing like this has happened with my kids before. Everything's always either in a cupboard or in the disc drive. I was surprised that she actually ejected it before deciding to destroy it. I'll know better than to leave a disc in the drive. Or even put one in a drive.

Man thats such a bummer! Its my biggest fear when I lend my Wii U to my brother. Thankfully nothing bad has happened yet. But I've been going digital more and more so I don't have to worry about it as much.

Too bad dude! Tough Luck

My daughter couldn't find the stylus for my original DS so she used an ink pen or something. Whatever it was, it scratched the fuck out of the screen. It sucked but I just bought another....which she also broke. So I bought another. Which she also broke.

It's just part of having kids.
