So MS just released figures and they shipped 6.6m Xbox consoles during the holiday Q.

My estimates (though they are irrelavant to overal Xbox console sales if you notice the title) are that 4.5m are XB1 and 2.1m are 360. This puts 360 at around 86.9m and XB1 around 11.9m.

However you spin the ratios, it's a fact that combined they're at 98.8 million shipped.

We have 95.5m sold, that leaves 3.3m on shelves which is a lot for dying 360 and XB1.

FYI, I don't think XB1 is undertracked, just 360, heavily. (like 1.5m~)

It will die faster, but that can easily be explained by simply logic.

It can't be how could it possibly have risen up from the dead. I think the Ps3 will still manage to overtake the Xbox 360 since in 2014 it's sold a million more and it can probably keep around a 700K difference this year and around 400K the year after which should just put it over the edge. I also don't think that the Xbox 360 is undertracked by that much as the OP suggests.

I agree the 360 is probably undertracked. It was just so suspiciously far behind PS3 and WiiU. 360 is still huge in 'Murica. I still figure it to be the preferred lower-end/casual choice, particularly in the Americas.

However, I did notice a lag between when VGC had the 360 pass the old Wii in NA and when MS announced it.

There doesn't however seem to be a shortage of X1s around though, even with the heavy pricecuts and bundles. I swear I saw huge walls of them every retail store I entered this holiday.

its based on assumption, again. your own personal one. 

give me official life to date xbox 360 and PS3 numbers, can you? ohh... wait, you cant? hmm so much for "fact". lol

The 360 refuses to let go of 2nd place, along with that my end prediction for 7th gen a few weeks ago has already been past. I wonder now what the final HW numbers will be LTD.
