I am a lefty, and for vast majority of games it is no issue. The only time I have problems is when DS/3DS expect you to use a stylus and move your character (d-pad or stick are on the left) since I use my left for both.

I have trained myself to use right as could not afford left handed baseball glove and anywhere I worked with computer mouse had to use right.

On a controller both hands are used so no issue. Never really thought about it.

which one do you masturbait with? :P

You probably haven't used the 360 controller enough to get confortable with it but for me its the best choice  overall since the left stick is in the perfect position.  The DS1 and DS2 where my favorite controllers in the previous two generations.  For fighting games I still perfer the DS3 since the 360 has a pretty lousy d-pad anything else I would rather use the 360 controller not only because of the left stick but it also has better triggers and overall it just feels better in my hands and it will only get better with the X1 controller since it has improved triggers and one minor complained about the 360 controller the bulging battery pack is no longer there.

It is not the perfect position... it is more like a matter of preference.

Even die hard 360's controller fans are saying the issue was not the stick placement after play the DS4.

Many years ago, I was playing a keyboard game with a friend, they were sitting next to me (we were holding hands) and my arm got really tired. We switched sides, and I realized I could play just as well with the other hand! I was completely surprised.

I write with my right, mouse and Wiimote with the left. I'm left eyed too. So I do a little of both.

For kinect it's usually which way the direction is - right for right choices, left for the left ones.

The two thumb stick of modern keyboard makes it pretty easy. In the Atari days you had to use the stick with your right and button with the left. (Unless you got a off maker one with extra buttons.)

Note: To figure out which eye is dominate - look at something say 10 feet away. Cover each eye and see which one makes the object move. If the object moves, that is your dominate eye. You are usually dominate in the same eye as your hand.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

I usually control the left thumbstick with my penis.

Actually, true story, when I was in elementary school I wrote with my left hand but my teacher was a nun who said it was the devil's hand. She made me use my right, and that's how I learned. These days I'm almost completely ambidextrous, and I would say most lefty's are forced to learn righty skills at least to some extent due to the nature of the world. So gaming isn't really an issue.

Ah, thank you!  One of my friends was smacked in the face for using her left hand by the teacher for the same thing!  People think I'm crazy for saying it.

As I understand the number of left handed snails vs right is about the same as left handed people vs right handed.

I am left-handed, but use my right hand for some tasks. I remember when I got my Wii and began to play Twilight Princess, it was difficult in the begining to aim with the right hand, but I got used to it quickly. When I play Wii games where you only need to use Wiimote without nunchuk, I always use my left hand though ;)

The only game I ever had a problem with was Kid Icarus Uprising, luckily it had support for Circle Pad Pro. But even then it feels weird, and I cannot control the stylus or write anything with my right.

Also when I'm on a PC, I always use the mouse with my right hand.

Yep.

If I would have started out gaming with left controls, I probably would have been better at aiming, but now that I've been playing for years, it doesn't really matter.

For pc it's easier to find a right handed mouse. And they keyboard is easier to use with your left hand. For xbox though the stick placement is better for left handed people...

Exactly that is why the 360 and soon the X1 controller is my prefered controller.  I'm left handed.

I am Left Handed and I preere SONY DS Controllers, there is no problum for Left Handers with any controller lol

Well to me its in the perfect position especially since I use it the most since I rarely play FPS or other games that use the right analouge stick a lot not to mention that the concaved tops feel better on my thumb.  Since I'm left handed I'm better in using my left thumb and the left thumb stick being closer is definitely a plus.
