Forums - Gaming - Right hand vs Left hand in gaming

Are you a?

Lefty 28 32.18%

Rgihty 40 45.98%

Ambidextrous 12 13.79%

I don't have hands and I... 7 8.05%

Total:87

Its not going to be a major deciding factor I will get a X1 first though since I like the early launch lineup a lot better.  The first PS4 game I really want to play is Infamous Second Son but will probably wait till Naughty Dogs first game is released before I buy one.

You probably haven't used the 360 controller enough to get confortable with it but for me its the best choice  overall since the left stick is in the perfect position.  The DS1 and DS2 where my favorite controllers in the previous two generations.  For fighting games I still perfer the DS3 since the 360 has a pretty lousy d-pad anything else I would rather use the 360 controller not only because of the left stick but it also has better triggers and overall it just feels better in my hands and it will only get better with the X1 controller since it has improved triggers and one minor complained about the 360 controller the bulging battery pack is no longer there.

tapping button not hard for anybody with any hand. use pencil with other hand very hard tho.

I usually control the left thumbstick with my penis.

Actually, true story, when I was in elementary school I wrote with my left hand but my teacher was a nun who said it was the devil's hand. She made me use my right, and that's how I learned. These days I'm almost completely ambidextrous, and I would say most lefty's are forced to learn righty skills at least to some extent due to the nature of the world. So gaming isn't really an issue.

you must have a pointy penis :P

I am a lefty, and for vast majority of games it is no issue. The only time I have problems is when DS/3DS expect you to use a stylus and move your character (d-pad or stick are on the left) since I use my left for both.

I have trained myself to use right as could not afford left handed baseball glove and anywhere I worked with computer mouse had to use right.

On a controller both hands are used so no issue. Never really thought about it.

Good thing I never went to a catholic school.  Even though the area I grew up in north east Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany is most catholic there weren't any catholic schools.
