Whats with the requested bans?.. lol whats the fun out of that.. its better to let the very wise mods to decide ...

new month new ban!.. which lucky mod will do it this time =)

.. @barozi lol seriously you really do have stupid users .. I just called them out by their middle name 'stupid'

I was going to ask as well.  Are these people literaly asking to be banned?  Why, to fight a personal internet addiction or something?

Yeah lots of permabanned members make new accounts and think we don't notice, but we have our ways.

Do your ways involve typing their account name in search and finding another account with almost exactly the same name?

... because that seems to happen a lot.

This month should be interesting since I start my new job on the 15th. :P Time to get as many bans in as possible.

Congrats!

That's because the site doesn't give out clear instructions on how to appeal a ban so people create accounts to question the mods sometimes.  At least that's one reason.

As for this month, well done mods, there was some excellent judgement calls and a clear line drawn in the sand that put paid to some of the worst stealth trolls.  One permaban on that list is very welcome given he brought nothing but trouble to threads.

Yeah though we don't use google all that much. The user search on this site is usually enough to find them.

But we actually did use Google once when there was a guy (Ocelot and other IDs) who thought we couldn't track him because he used a dynamic IP and is anonymous online. He posted a bunch of his alts on the wall of one of his IDs.

Let's just say that it was a mistake to give us so much information. We googled all of his usernames and found out his interests (DBZ), his place of residence (Birmingham) and more...

Trolling (You're going a little overboard with the "fanboy" comments these days. )

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=5209319

"Sony was smart to announce first. Hardcore fans who have made big claims about the PS4 are likely to continue to make the same claims no matter what MS does. Sony set the stage in this fanboy war and Sony fanboys have their talking points in hand. Things are really going to heat up when MS reveals their next machine.

This post has been moderated by Axumblade"

I still believe my ban was completely uncalled for. I didn't break any rules. Using the word fanboy is not against the rules. Only calling someone a fanboy. I didn't call anyone a fanboy and my comment was completely in context with the thread topic.

Nevermind.

A record month for tads, I think! Too bad he's not a mod anymore

This will forever be remembered as the month where Jaywood lost his cool (by that I mean: lost his temper) and took people down with him.

15 bans really isn't all too bad, right? (I know compared to some Mods *cough*Axum!*cough* it might not seem like it, but...)

Look at all those alts.

Didnt know you could get banned for having another ID. There are work arounds though if the person uses a simple vpn client to register the other account.

Yeah, there was something definitely in the gamrConnect drinking water last month.

Although to be fair, half those bans are actually WindyCityHeat alts...
