Do your ways involve typing their account name in search and finding another account with almost exactly the same name?

... because that seems to happen a lot.

That's because the site doesn't give out clear instructions on how to appeal a ban so people create accounts to question the mods sometimes.  At least that's one reason.

As for this month, well done mods, there was some excellent judgement calls and a clear line drawn in the sand that put paid to some of the worst stealth trolls.  One permaban on that list is very welcome given he brought nothing but trouble to threads.
