Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rumor - Next Call of Duty Title To Be Next-Gen Exclusive, No WiiU

no way ion hell. It's staying on current gen systems for at least 2 more years, if not longer depening on how good or bad the launch is.

People on the WIiU don't have to be angry cause in this case it isn't about not enough power to handle NextGen games
A Smartphone could handle CoD cause it is using such an outdated Engine. No comparison to a pushing Developer like DICE with Battlefield 3 and upcoming 4 that is even a lot more intense than BF3. - Its just not even Black Ops 2 sold on the WiiU and that is strange.CoD is managing to sell with little to no change every year 25 Million units one home consoles.

hahaha people here is desilusional and happy to see COD skipping Wii U. How can people think that Activision will skip it if the userbase of the Wii U is larger by all means to consoles that haven't yet been released?

It's clearly not happening, under no normal circumstances would Activision be happy to lose 20m sales

The only scenarios would be for Sony and M$ to pay Activision literally $1bn or Activision to do something nice....

By something nice, if I were Activision I would be concerned about the sales of all the new platforms. Activision stand to lose out big time if tablet gaming continues to rise against console gaming. Maybe they want to give the new platforms a lift?

Basically, I severely doubt it. The realistic case is that next gen platforms have some exclusive content of some sort, but there will definitely be CoD games on PS4 and PS3 as well as everything else

it's obivously just a rumor with no credibility. A secret source that I trust dearly, told me this. lol

Unless both Microsoft and Sony came to Activision and offered them a monumental sack of money, enough to replace the profits of a skipped current-gen launch of a CoD game, there is no way in hell that this is gonna happen. I could see MS having the cash and motivation to do this, however Sony is in no financial position for this kind of deal.

In all likelihood, the game will just come out on all platforms, both current and next gen, with the question still left open whether it will launch on current and next-gen at the same time.

There's no way Activision would cut off the massive 360 and PS3 userbases, unless they've lost their minds.

That would lose Activision billions of dollars and is completely opposite of their business vision. Worst rumor I've heard in ages.

100% not gonna happen.

No way they going to ignore the 150 mil user base of 360 and PS3.

Nah. 360 and PS3 are still huge markets. Next gen versions may get updated graphics, more features, even exclusive DLC, but its stupid to ignore 360/PS3 install base.
