I don´t wanna get banned

Plenty of people have criticised the mod team already. None of them have been banned. None of them will be.

I've been very vocal in the past that I thought the moderation is pretty poor and while I think the new mod team is a huge improvement, there is still not enough proactive moderation in the forums at times. Sometimes a mod putting a post in a heated topic to tell people to keep on topic or to stop name calling would create better flowing threads rather than banning 2 or 3 people in that thread later.

As I said though, the current mods seem a lot more unbiased and I believe you can actually appeal a moderation now where as before you'd be told you were banned and it's tough luck even if the post moderated was taken out of context (which has happened to a number of people). Hopefully we'll see the biggest benefit as the holiday period kicks in and the forums get busy again.

I don't want things to get personal here, so I'll refrain from using names.

But the mod(s) whose username(s) start with a "k" is/are universally terrible. And other mod(s) have terrible tastes in football teams, which should be a bannable offense imo.

Beyond that, we'ze coo'. Keep it up!

As Kantor said, as long as you're not rude about it and speak concisely on what the issue is without it turning into namecalling, then you should be fine.

and some of them decides that you are rude and you get banned. There are people who can take critic and others can´t.

Kantor is a great mod but you can´t critisize Skyrim or you will hanged for treason

I try to do this, usually if i've gotten a report from the thread that i don't feel is actionable but want to try to restore order.

I also try to establish context whenever i can, though sometimes events transpire between threads without immediate clues as to what's going on exactly.

Much of this work also has to do with reading between the lines, knowing the preferences and histories of certain users, and trying your hardest to filter sarcasm (though mistakes are made on the latter occasionally)

By all means, name individuals. Just don't insult them.

So:

"I think Kantor is too strict on ____" is fine

"Kantor is a fucking fascist moron" is not.

I have already complained directly to Mr Kahn and I will continue to do so if I see it fit. A certain mod even agreed with me a little about Mr Kahn awhile back.

Radishhead seems to over mod and close threads too much. Truthfully, I do not see anything coming out of this so I do not really care. I would remove the number of mods if given a choice which is obviously not going to happen.

I think the current team is excellent, I'm not such a huge fan of Sega4Life, but everything is great overall.

Also, I think axumblade is abysmal. Well, that's what Joey Tribbiani would say.

Oh yeah, and I'm still kinda pissed of that this thread was locked...

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=146987

It was locked literally as soon as the first female posted in it. Coincidence? I think not. Jay520 was right when he said there was a smear campaign against female users from the mods, but I didn't believe it....until now.
