The elder scrolls. I despised oblivion and I didn't make it pass the 15 hour mark on Skyrim. It gets so goddamn repetitive so quickly. That and the story sucked and the combat sucked and the dialogue sucked and the characters were not memorable at all. Graphics were nice though.

You judged the entire series by a few online matches? Halo is my favorite FPS and I don't even play multiplayer in it or any other games. Multiplayer just isn't my thing, but Halo's single player is so damn good I keep coming back to replay the entire series.

Oh and Halo games sell because they are of such high quality and people love them. It's not like the letters H, A, L and O have some magic ability to sell anything they are printed on. The name Halo is synonymous with quality, fun, and replay-ability.

I'm not telling you to like it, but your reasons for calling it overrated are pretty thin. How are you counting 11 Halo games anyway. Even with spin offs and the HD remake there are only a total of 7 Halo games. Halo 4 will be the 8th game with the word Halo in it's title. At 11 years that's only 1 game about every 1 1/5 years. I mean, she we force devs to not makes games so there are less of the ones we love just so they come out less often? That's ridicules.

Personally I don't think remakes, even ones are spectacularly good as Halo Anniversary really count as new games. In my opinion there are 3 main Halo games with a forth on the way and 3 spin offs in Wars, ODST, and Reach. All together that's just 6 games in 11 years. I wouldn't want to wait for Halo games like we have to wait for Half-Life sequels.

What is it about Halo that is so overrated? I don't just mean what you don't like about it. What do reviewers and fans claim about Halo that you feel the games don't live up to. I mean I'm not a fan of the Uncharted games, but I don't feel like they are overrated. I also don't care for big sandbox games like GTA and Elder Scrolls, but I don't think they are overrated either. I do think DK Country 1,2,3 are overrated because in my opinion they have mediocre gameplay, flat levels, pointless collectables, and stupid characters. However I think the music and graphics are very good. The DK country games have a lot of fans that claim them to be timeless classics without flaws so I think they are overstating it. Therefore in, my opinion, the DK Country games are overrated by its fanbase.

You can't just say, Halo is overrated because they sell millions and there are too many of them and then qualify with, "Anyways it's MY OPINION!!!". Of course it's your opinion and your entitled to it, but you should back it up with legitimate reasons or people like me and others are going to have a problem with what amounts to an insult to a beloved series of games. I mean if you want to say you don't like Halo because it's just not your kind of game, that's fine. But does that really mean it's the most overrated game series of all time?

Halo is def over rated but so were the 1st 2 killzone games 3 was awesome though. 1st resistance game is overated as well. The Madden series are terrible foorball games.

Hmm i am just not able to finish Mirror's Edge. I guess over rated for me but the visuals are great.

Underrated: Call of Duty. Everyone loves to hate on it but there is a reason so many people are playing it. They are playing it so much that they don't go on random forums like me and defend it. Okay this is the only forum. The gameplay is smooth, getting into a match is insanely fast. I love the uncharted but boy it takes long to set things up. The connection on the latest has been super strong, the balancing of perks and killstreaks is really well done. Try that on any other competitive shooter. An average or decent player just gets destroyed.

So yea it got off topic but things like that has to be mentioned. People love to pick up on the big players. Today the new ipad got announced and on every website there are million people calling it all sorts of bad names. Anyways just my thoughts. Most are just going to skip over my most as i am not famous as Rolstoppable and such.

I only play the first HALO because I had 360 for only a few months...
And I can tell this game not that great I don't with the sequel. I mostly play gears of war with my 360.

Have the Xbox 360 on loan from my older brother;playing Gears 3 right now.The shoot and cover game play is very monotonous in my opinion.

Don't worry I wont ignore you. I completely get and respect your opinion on COD and I understand where your coming from. Even with my personal opinion of COD being overrated I do agree with your points and the game does do more right than wrong. I guess I'm just tired of the franchise as a whole, but I still play COD4 occasionally because the multiplayer was so damn good and original.   

Thanks for being mature and trying to see my point. When i ask people who hate COD what is the problem with it; they usually don't have a good answer other than just stating it comes out every year. The fragmentation is certainly there and a big risk of becoming the next guitar hero. I guess i am getting there in terms of franchise fatigue where you are as i started it a bit late with MW2. So this year's iteration would be hard sell to me.

I feel ya. Trying to get the OP to give a legit reason why Halo is overrated is almost like asking him to put a gun to his head and pull the trigger. I guess it's not going to happen. Atleast when I say why COD is overrated imo I have the history of playing cod 2,3,4, W@W, MW2, Black-Ops and combined hundreds of hours of play time. All the OP played was 5-10 matches online lol. It would have been better if he just lied so it wouldn't make him look so bad.         

American Nightmare is awesome. Good single player and awesome Fight til dawn. Highly recommend.
