Welcome to my 2011 sales predictions thread! I have had so many different predictions that I wanted to make 1 thread about it instead of annoying people with many different threads...about the same topic.(Predictions from SOR) So now that my intro is over lets start with my predictions!

*Wii Will Cross 105 Million By The End Of 2011*

I already posted this prediction in its own thread but am including it in this one too. Wii will reach 105 Million due to big games, Vitality Sensor and an expected Price Cut. I won't go into detail due to it having another thread.

*XBox 360 Will Cross 65 Million By The End Of 2011*

The 360 has been selling well ever since Kinect became a HUGE hit back in November 2010. With Kinect leading the way along with a Price Cut the 360 will sell big #'s through 2011 passing the 65 Million mark.

*PS3 Won't Cross 60 Million By The End Of 2011*

IMO PS3 will come very close to passing the 60 Million mark in 2011 but won't make it in the end, only to pass it in January 2012. Why? While PS3 is doing bigger #'s than the Wii currently I expect that to change. Sony did the wrong thing by creating something un-new...Move. Kinect is the cool new thing right now and I expect Vitality Sensor to be a HUGE hit when it comes out sharing the spotlight with Kinect. PS3 will be left behind without having something new. Also, 360 and Wii should have Price Cuts in 2011 and the Price Cuts along with the big new things together will make 360 and Wii bigger than PS3 for 2011. PS3 may get a Price Cut as well but it won't have the impact that a 360 and Wii one will IMO due to it again having nothing really new.

*Vitality Sensor & Kinect Games Will Be #1 & #2 In 2011*

My next prediction is that a V.S game and a Kinect game will be the top 2 selling games in 2011.(Not counting Wii Sports or Resort) In V.S's case it will be whatever game the V.S comes with...Wii Relax? In Kinect's case it will probably be Kinect Adventures unless Microsoft drops K.A's bundle status. I expect V.S to be announced at GDC 2011 next week and be released before E3 2011. Both games will sell over 10 Million by the end of the year!(This is for single system...like Black Ops only on 360.)

*uDraw Studio Will Sell 3.5 Million By End Of 2011*

So far, uDraw Studio has only been released in America and has sold 993K. uDraw will be released in Others sometime in March 2011. I expect uDraw to be a success in Others and pick up in America as well after a Nintendo Published game is released and uDraw gets more support. I predict about 2 Million in America and 1.5 Million in Others by 2011's end.

*Top 10 PS3 Games Will All Be 5 Million Sellers*

The PS3 currently has 6, 5 Million sellers. The top 10 all have sold at least 4 Million with #10 being Assassins Creed 2. By the end of 2011 I predict that all 10 of the top 10 games will be 5 Million sellers. Final Fantasy 13, and Uncharted 2 could join the list this year as well as Sports Champions and other games that have yet to release.

*10 Million Sackboys!*

The LittleBigPlanet franchise has so far sold 6.54 Million off of 3 games. I predict that the LBP franchise will just pass the 10 Million mark by the end of 2011.(Needs 3.46 Million)

*Just Dance__20 Million*

Ubisoft has made a hit out of dance on the Wii with the Just Dance franchise. So far, out of Just Dance 1,2 and Kids Just Dance has sold over 12 Million! With all 3 still selling well(JD2 still one of the top selling games weekly) and Just Dance 3 coming near the end of 2011...8 Million more seems easy.

*3DS>PS3 In 2011*

I predict that the 3DS will outsell the PS3 in 2011 sales. PS3 will come close but fall short of 3DS sales in 2011 while both XBox 360 & Wii outsell 3DS this year.(Not predicting where DS will be but PSP should be last)

*100 Million Mii Sales*

The Wii has become a HUGE hit since it released back in 2006 but it certainly didn't do it alone. The Wii Brand of games has become a true 1 of a kind success. It didn't get that way with only 1 mascot though...it had...Mii's? Yes, the Mii has become a true hit for Nintendo over the last few years making you the star of your game. The Wii Brand has seen 7 Worldwide releases with 2 being bundled with the Wii itself. So...take out Wii Sports and its younger brother Wii Sports Resort and you have...77.28 Million sales! With just 5 games, the Wii Brand has been able to sell over 75 Million.(Average of 15.4 Million a game) So...this leads into my next prediction. I predict that the Wii brand of games will pass the 100 Million mark by the end of 2011! Wii Fit, and Wii Music may have stoped selling and Wii Play may have slown down a good bit but...Wii Party and Wii Fit Plus are still selling well over 100K a week together.(This past week they sold 125K) Also, Wii Brand games tend to sell a lot during the Holiday period & I expect at least 1 more Wii Brand game to come out in 2011...one for the Vitality Sensor...maybe more? Anyway it needs to sell 22.72 Million more to reach this goal.

Except for the Wii one, everything else looks reasonable. Altough the Vitality Sensor myth will be told for generations.

Everything HD related can be correct.

Vitality sensor and Wii predictions will be terribly wrong.

EDIT: Meh, the PS3 prediction will probably be wrong too.

Oh i am sooooo exited for wii vitality sensor. Rest are whatever.

Wii. Wii will not reach 105 Million this Year. No way. Not at all. No.

It needs to have a 22 Million year. That's being 4 Million up on last Year, and it's aleady down by over 800,000 units for the Year in February... Before we get to the slow Months. Even 2009 which had a Pricecut and the biggest Wii game ever, didn't hit 22 Million. Not happening. We don't even have a confirmed game for Vitality Sensor and we've seen nothing of it since it was shown 2 Years ago. The majority of Nintendo's own studios and focus will also be on the 3DS.

98-100 Million by Years end.

360. I don't think it will hit 65 Million. Will come close to it though. It needs to have a 15 Million Year. It "only" sold 13.6 Million last Year with the Slim, Halo, Fable and Kinect releasing. I don't think a price cut alone will propel the sales of it to 15 Million, but I could be wrong. It's up over 14% YoY so far but that gain will go down as we get to the Slim release. All depends on when they cut the price, and what comes with it really. Will be the best selling console in America.

63-64 Million by Years end.

PS3. Needs a 13.7 Million unit Year.It sold 14.4 Million last year, and it needs to sell just over 12 Million more this Year. I think it can do that total, due to the exclusive games releasing this Year keeping the console looking fresh. The pricecut will determine if it does it easily or if it comes close though. $50 cut would mean it would be a close call, $100 cut would make it a certainty. It will be the lead console in both "EMEAA" and Japan.

60-62 Million by Years end.

Call of Duty will be the best selling game of the Year.

Wii wont reach 105M end of year, most likely mid May 2012, end of 2011 around 97.8 - 99M Wii will be shipped, meaning about 97M sell throuhg, a price cut should help this, and I see HDS being in the 60 Millions.  Wii is already down a lot YoY and will do 15M max or maybe a tad more.

You're way too high on Wii and 360 and spot on for PS3, probably. For Wii, you're gonna miss out over 5m if VS does not release and Wii doesn't get a price cut and, for 360, it's already flat YOY - come June and 360's house of cards will fall apart completely. Even a price cut won't help at that point.

If  VS does release...

My guess;

Wii: year end total of 98 million.

360: year end total of 64 million.

PS3: year end total of 61 million

I guess the Wii is getting a $100 pricecut this year, and the Vitality sensor will cure virginity. 

Kinect has had a huge impact on the 360, but it hasnt done nothing to stop the PS3 from selling.
