Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Kinect Adventures to be a 20 million seller? (I'm dead serious)

Kinect Adventures is the game bundled with every kinect sensor. let's say it sells 3 million this year, 10 million next year, and 7 million in 2012. this game can easily hit 20 million i think. As long as they continue to bundle it and the new xbox doesn't come in 2011 (Which it shouldn't)

No...

Edit: Not in 2 years.

BRUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

(i'm dead serious)

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

it will... watch and see.

I think its a lot more likely that I become the Prime Minister of Norway to be honest.

Kinect will be, in stark contrast to my prior belief, a big hit but I can't see any possible way for it to sell 20 million units.

Yeah it's a shame to see that Kinect Adventures will be tracked as a seperate software title, cause it shouldn't. You simply can't buy Kinect without getting this game with it, and you can't buy only the game anywhere, wich means it's simply not a seperate software title and so it shouldn't count. It's like counting the demo disc that comes with Move as a software title...

I agree. I also think they should not have counted Wii sports as a software title(excluding the Japanese numbers). Btw, where can I see move and kinect sales numbers on this site, or does Vgchartz not display them?

it's too early for me to have an opinion either way.  basically what you are saying is kinect sells 20M which certainly isn't unreasonable as long as as it catches on with the mainstream.  i think we'll have have a better idea come jan/feb when the xmas rush dies down. if kinect still posts 100k or more a week at that time (like wii fit did) then 20M will be easy.

bundled games selling a lot isn't really all that special.
