Figured a darth-style thread title might fetch me some more attention. Anyway, my story is thus;

Yesterday (Veteran's Day/Remembrance Day for you Canadians/Euros), I went out with a girl for, like, the first time ever, except i'm entirely unaware as to whether she interpreted it as a date or not, given that my signaling wasn't very strong (except for the fact that i was awkward as fuck while asking her, which is otherwise quite uncharacteristic of me)

Now i am at an impasse. I have no idea what she thought happened, or what she thinks of me in particular (beyond general friendliness). We're co-workers at the same internship where the majority of our interaction has been thus far.

Another opportunity has been presented to me to interact with her: the midnight screening of the new harry potter movie. Now, this would be fun in and of itself, but it would require me to sink a good deal of money into, given that it would require a taxi ride (though a shared taxi ride because we live in the same apartment complex), preorder tickets, and other possible sticky consequences. I am both cheap and lazy, so the only thing to really get me into this is this peculiar romantic motive

So what should i do? Should i find out if her feelings are mutual before sinking a bunch of money into this, or should i just shut the hell up and do it and see where it goes?

If the former, how would i go about that? Is there some non-direct way i can ascertain these things at minimal cost and risk?

Anyway.. I had sex with my fellow internship co worker after knowing her for... 7 hours.. >_>  ..but it blew up big time after 2 months getting me fired from the internship for sexual harassment...  so i'll sit this one out... I'm not the right person to give advice in this case..

You should ask her out again and see what happens. If both of you are having fun then that is a good sign.

You should ask her if she would go out with you. “Would you go out with me” is more of a date than “hey you want do something tonight”. If she says yes then she is interested in you and you would know where you stand and won’t have to think about what the other day out with here was. Even if she says no lets just hang out as friends that is better than to just going around and thinking what she thinks about you.

Yeah if she is a good company go with her to watch the movie. And i think you should wait and see if she shows any signs that she likes you more than a friend or she is willing to know you better. Don't ask her straight if she sees you more than a friend, its usually a bit weird to ask too soon and its better if you let things go their way. It depends how long and well you know each other.

Do you like her? if yes.. Be confident, ask her to go to harry potter with you, pay the taxiride and tickets, just do it!
don't wait for signs.. make the signs.. What's the worst thing that might happen? She says no? bwoehoe.. who cares.. if you don't try don't whine...

Step 2. Put balaclava on.
Step 3. Wait outside her house, and when she comes out do a flying turkey slap.
Step 4. The next day she will be sad, then you comfort her and bam, your in the sack.
