Onna, I pre-ordered SMG a while back along with Fire Emblem and Mass Effect. I don't know where I am going to find the time to play all these games. I can't wait for the first quarter software drought. I am glad its winter. I am going to stop hanging out on the weekends and start beating some these games I bought.

Wow. I'm very, very suprised that MC tracked AC6 higher than VGC/Famitsu. Usually it's the exact opposite.

A 77,000 opening week is just ungodly massive for a X360 game. That's bigger than halo, and only ~5,000 less than Blue Dragon (MC had BD at 83k f/w).

Just as big news is that 2 budget title X360 games reached the top 30 - no 2 X360 games have ever, ever been in the top 30 outside of *maybe* launch. Top 50 could have other X360 games in it too.

According to maguro (a Japanese poster), low 360 sales in Japan were more due to hardware reliability problems than anything else. This week, a 360 Value Pack was launched in Japan which includes the improved Falcon hardware. According to him/her, this pack is selling out, so this could be the turning point for the 360 in Japan!

Assuming they have more stock ready to ship during this week, next week's 360 sales should be interesting to look at.

Well, Sony better get some respect back and hope that they get boosted in 25 -30k next week.

The 40gb and Dynasty Warriors 5 comes out for this week. Although, I don't think it will happen b/c it comes out on the 11th. Thats only one day of sales...

People who say that the Japaneese hate the XBox 360 are really missing the point; the fact is the Japaneese really don't think of the XBox 360 at all. What Microsoft may be able to do as the PS3 struggles is become a brand that people would potentially consider buying ... Even if the XBox 360 only ever managed to sell 1 to 2 Million units in Japan that would be a massive improvement and could set the stage for a breakthrough with their next generation console.
