I lolled at this. It's not about having competition at the top of the charts, but spiting one person (Simon Cowell). If it was truly about competition, it wouldn't require a campaign and it wouldn't need people to plead with their friends/family to purchase it.
The Christmas #1 should be the most popular song, which is the X-Factor song, year in year out. The funny thing is, Simon Cowell is getting more publicity (which I didn't think was possible) than he would get if the song had just outsold everyone combined.
1 hour to go guys and my penultimate appeal.
If you're fed up with Xfactor automatically getting to #1 and knowing it will get to #1 even before the winner or track has been announced download the Rage Against the machine mp3.
It's not about whether you like this track or not it's about there being some competition and showing them just because they have a prime time TV show doesn't mean they are entitled to be #1!
Next year choose something thats really big. And preferably British instead of American.
Someone mentioned Queen, they'd be a very good choice.
As much as I love Rage Against the Machine it wasn't the most realistic song to choose. Although that would make it so much win if they reached the top.
Wish I was british right now.
^the track is not important

No it aint.
But if the grup was say, "Get Queen - Dont Stop Me Now to Number 1", X Factor wouldn't stand a chance in hell of winning. SImply because Queen, are Queen.
It is important if you actually want to get number 1.
