Sorry mods I know this isn't strictly a sales discussion for music but it's important to me we try and take back our music chart so if you could at least let this thread run until midnight tonight UK time before locking/deleting it, I'd be very grateful!

Around the Network

Race against the machine isn't that great of a song..

mM

^ that's not the point.

But if you're happy for Xfactor to be #1 each Christmas until Simon Cowell decides he doesn't want it to be any more.... do nothing!

Whilst this is obviously the wrong forum for this, I find it very hard to complain as I agree completely.

If you're in the UK, get buying.

;)

^I'm happy to be banned for a week if this thread can stay open until midnight tonight UK time.

Around the Network

I agree with this thread!

Gonna DL the live version at 8

You'll be lucky if it lasts that long. Still, if it convinces just one person to buy the track in the UK, then it's worth it, I suppose.

While the entire thread makes no sense to me, your post was the most confusing part.  RATM is a song?

Yea I can understand thoe in other countries not getting this.

The UK Christmas #1 is a bit of a tradition, fought over by many artists from the very good to the utter crap and pointless, including cartoon characters.

But it was nearly always 'a competition', you never knew who it was going to be, you'd go and buy the track you liked in the hope your song would be this years Christmas #1

But it changed with the Xfactor, for the last 5 years there has been no competition, we knew it would be the Xfactor even before the winner or song had been announced.

Now in year 6 we are hoping to stop this rot and put some competition back into our chart, that part we have done but now we want #1 to show the xfactor it will never be that easy again!

Hope you understand.

Only 4 hours left to save our music chart!
