Impressive week for both the Wii and PS3, it will be interesting to see which older games get a boost with the increase in hardware.

I actually didn't see the Wii 140K part in the article. However, it would be within expectation for the number to be between 2007 and 2008 level.

NSMB Wii only dropped around 50%. Holiday or not, that's a great hold.

BOTH are seeing some of the highest sales they have ever seen in Japan this week (PS3 is at the MGS4 week level this week I think)

Next week will be VERY interesting

And to compare the holds of the different titles, here last week's top 4:

3. [PSP] Gundam Vs Gundam NEXT PLUS (Namco Bandai) 238,000
4. [WII] Samurai Warriors 3 (Koei) 123,000

From Bruno's unconfirmed numbers that would be:

50% drop for Mario; 77% drop from PSP2; 80% drop for Gundam and 66% drop for SM3. Pretty decent hold for SM3, normal large drops for the 2 PSP titles and amazing hold and already mentioned by NSMBWii!

For TOG, if true, it bodes well for decent legs but is still not a huge seller though (just great numbers when looking at first day sales).

No darth, Tales of Graces bombed! Soriku, and a few others (including myself) were proven wrong in the first day thread. So those numbers you see are of bombed numbers.

Edit: Given I kinda thought it would sell 160k, so this is a nice surprise.
