Ahh, I love NPD. The one time of the month where people show their true colors. It's funny to see the facade erased, and have everyone let their inner fanboys out. It's truly pathetic.

Way more entertaining than the numbers though.

And great performance for Modern Warfare 2! Forget the haters, it deserves ever copy sold.

i second this comment!!!!!!!!!.

awesome sales everyone!!!. wow. COD is epic. those sales are like hugeeeee!.

If you think 360 is gonna win December you're insane.

No MW2 bundles, No MW2 launch, No $99 360.

It won't even be close.

i have to agree to this too

i think the MW2 bundles and launch, banned consoles, and the Wallmart deal played alot into the 360s favor

look at sept and oct npd ps3 won both

since slim launch ps3 is still 100k ahead of 360 in USA according to NPD that is

also ps3 won BF should have momentum going into Dec, the week prior to BF it was very close and going by vgc i think it won the 1st week of Nov so its pretty obvious wat happen MW2, L4D2, Forza, banned consoles,  especially wallmart deals helped the 360 get the edge for this month

unless theres more deals that no1 knows about yet it should be close for Dec theres really no SW or bundles coming out i defiantly dont see 200k for 360 that month

having promblems understanding this sites regions wat to they track for americans its oviously more than just the 50 states since there #s are more than NPDs and wat does other europe and others mean? is there other regions that they dont track aswell?

if its more than the 50 states they need to change americans to NA or something

Mmm, the delicious taste of utter failure.

Always awesome seeing the NPD numbers. Helps keep things in........perspective. Amazing sales for gaming. Really looking forward to Decembers totals.

Don't know if you guys realized this but...

Black Friday Week    NPD Nov         Nov  - BF Week

Wii              550k                   1260k                710k

PS3             440k                   710k                  270k

DS              ~1000k               1700k                700k

BF week figures are from Nintendo and Sony statements.

Nov = 4 weeks

Ergo:

PS3 sold ~90k in Nov in non-Black Friday weeks

DS sold ~ 233.3k in Nov in non-Black Friday weeks

Wii sold ~ 236.7 in Nov in non-Black Friday weeks

No, I had not realized that at all. I'm guessing the bundles must have done a number for Sony. Or...?
