poor FFCC:TCB sale's. i'm very disappointed :(

nearly 75% of the originals' sales came from the west though, so theres still a sliver of hope.

@jarrod, yeah, that links show 60% failure rate. No.

PSP Go sales can be explained with high price.

Dreamcast didn`t have MGS, FF, DQ or GT game = which are needed for success in Japan.

x360, what can it offer to japanese gamers, that PS3 can`t? So, what the reason for buying it(with high failure rate), when you can get PS3 which will play FFXIII and other japanese oriented exclusives like MGS4, Yakuza 3/4, FFXIIIv, GT5?

PS2 had a high enough failure rate to warrant class action lawsuits.  There's no credible study yet that shows 360's failure rate at 60% either.

MGS doesn't matter in Japan.  FF and DQ (and now MH) are the biggies 3rd party wise.  In terms of 1st party, VF used to be as big as GT.

Funny you say MGS doesn't matter & then say MH is a biggie when MH3 has only sold 300K more than MGS4

Not on PSP.  There Monster Hunter's sold about 3 million more than Metal Gear Solid. ;)

I was talking 3rd party games in general.  DQ, MH and FF are the top 3 now, in that order.
