KylieDog said: Sorry but DSE has some really crap parts on the graphics, while I was playing near the start of chapter 2 before everything goes dark (read: covers up poorer graphics) I was looking at a display on one of the walls and it reminded me of Dino Crisis wall quality which I was playing last week. Dino Crisis is a PS1 game. I am not saying the entire game is like that, but my god. Most of the game is PS2 level at best, the Wii can do a lot better.
I've not finished the game yet (still early on) so I'm wondering how consistant things are. |
*Shrugs* i hope it can do more.I cant remember playing any part with ps2 level of quality.Im just pulling some quick quotes of reviews besides mine:
Graphics (from gamefocus)
The Wii might be the weakest of the three consoles this generation in terms of overall graphic prowess, but this is a great looking game which should not be looked at lightly. The game runs at a smooth frame rate from start to finish, the animations for all of the characters and necromorphs are great and the special effects are excellent. Even the level design which was outstanding in the first Dead Space game is just as good this time around or even more since this is a game which follows a pre-determined path. I cannot think of a better looking Wii game in general terms.
From game chronicles
I’ve come to expect a certain level of sub-par graphics with the Wii so I was totally blown away with the outstanding visuals of Extraction. Sure, it’s a far cry from the 360, but it's impressive as hell for the Wii with fantastic level design and character models, creepy lighting, and all sorts of ghostly supernatural effects that play mind games with the character and the player. There were plenty of F.E.A.R. moments.

Furthermore, Extraction is a technical powerhouse that benefits from top notch production values, a spot-on visual and aural aesthetic and solid gameplay. The necromorphs are large, well animated and numerous, and the framerate never so much as stutters. Strategic dismemberment has by no means been toned down, either. In fact, all around the game is beautifully done, and all more impressively so on the Wii’s relatively underpowered hardware. Just wait till you see the characters’ facial expressions. Capcom might be touting Monster Hunter Tri has the “most beautiful game on the Wii” but one look at Extraction and you might question that claim.
and thats just a token, because i did try to find ANY site saying something on the other side.None found. If you felt that was what the ps2 was doing ...Well i dont own a ps2 anymore but i dont remember anything along those lines. To each their own.
