Funny, that has nothing to do with it. Let's forget that a Halo game just released, also lets throw out the $50 cashback (for elites) out the window, let's talk about the territory. We are talking about NA, where the 360 has DOUBLE (thats right, DOUBLE) the installed base as the PS3. Also, IDK if you live in the U.S, but basically everybody loves the 360 (from what I've seen, just because of Live) and there is a ridiculous amount of word of mouth and peer pressure (one feels they need to get a 360 just because their friends got one, and so on and so forth). The 360 has outsold the PS3 in NA for the entire lifespan of the PS3 (maybe the PS3 outsold it a couple of weeks or so, nothing major), so the 360 outselling the PS3 by so little isn't something you should be bragging about. I know you can say "but PS3 just dropped down to 300, and had a slim," well the 360 dropped to 300 around the same time as well. Oh, and I HIGHLY doubt that the PS3 is so close to the 360 because of the slim.

Maybe I don't watch enough tv, but I saw zilch about it.

Also, to be a stickler, it wasn't a full week of the rebate.  It started on the 22nd.

Yeah, I think so too.  It'll be the first time losing to PS3 and the second time being outsold by 360.  We'll see though.

But then it'll be back on top in October.
