Forums - Nintendo - IGN editor: No worthwhile Wii games have released since 2007.

Momohime disagrees...

Suffice it to say, I agree with Momohime. How about you guys?

I don't really get it. he says the Wii is about MP3 and Super Mario Galaxy. then he mentions Mad World and Little King's Story, but then he talk about sales numbers. WTF?

I think his main rant is about Nintendo themselves and how they have progressed with the Wii, not being able to sell games like Madworld and LKS for example.

The quote i pulled earlier from the rant kinda shows how and why he dislikes the Wii. Its another "abandoned the core-gamer" thing.

"Sony and Microsoft know that their core audience will be there in five years. Nintendo just can't say the same thing. In this regard, the Wii is the anti-GameCube, the anti-N64, and the anti-hardcore gamer. "

I need a new hobby.

Nonsense - you don't need a new hobby.

We just need to stop listening to other enthusiasts.

Hmm........

Worthwhile games are probably something rated 7.0/7.5 or higher right?

I'll wait until you guys respond so I can reply further.

But I can't talk to many folks about this hobby, since the bulk of my friends are no longer gamers, which makes gaming itself much less enticing. And apparently the internet's little better: the threads devoted to actually discussing games are pretty rare. Most of them are either about news, or bitching about what someone said.

Create thy own discussion

Fine, I'll go make a thread myself then

@Darc

Jinkuro agrees with your sentiment, along with all of those hot spring monkeys.

(and me... )

You mean like making an official thread to talk about a game I like, but which is really only visited by four people?

'Kay.

But seriously, you know what really depresses me? Kenny threads. Because the guy has damned interesting viewpoints about important topics, he presents them in a great way that's perfect for facilitating discussion, and yet everyone flocks to the "here's what some jackass said on the topic" thread instead.

Bah, now I'm just ranting. Ignore me. I should get back to work soon anyways.

You want more threads actually dicussing games?  I do too, but unfortunately you and I are in the minority.  People find it much more fun to cut down each other's systems or each other.  People want to point the finger and laugh at others.  That's why all of those godawful reality shows and talk shows like Maury are so popular.
