DS and PSP would certainly prove you wrong. And I suspect by the end of the gen so will the Wii

It should push more JRPG's being on PS3 or even Wii, and not on 360 "Exclusively".

Maybe in the furute, but right now i cant find a good JRPG to play (europe says hi!)
And Eternal Sonata was finished looong time ago.
@carl
yes I agree, with SO4 on PS3 too now, it is really THE platform for HD JRPG's
its a bit meh really, 200k sold these day's is nothing when you think about it. I think what is more interesting is things that sell millions. Like say the new halo game selling more then KZ2 worldwide in it's lifetime in just 24hrs, think that is more impressive.
This gen has a lack of decent JRPG but TOV is one of the better ones.

I don't give a dog crap about how Halo sold more than KZ2. All I care about is, if the game (in case it's good) have sold enough, to have a sequel. There are sales Juggernauts such as GTA, Halo, CoD which is fine, everyone will try those games, because they are well known, especially mouth-to-ear marketing from your mates. But that doesn't automaticaly make them the best, ya know? For some developer 200k can be a great result (see The Conduit, they were happy with selling just little over 120k). And when Tales of Vesperia sold more on PS3 than Xbox, we can expect more JRPGs on the PS3 than it was till now. And that is a good thing for me, as a PS3 owner.
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising
Not surprising... for me anyways...
Very good for a year old port though.

But it can also go the other way.
Selling little or more does not make the game better or worse.
However lets be honest there are a lot more rubbish game that we call shovleware which have flooded the games market. Some of these games will sell more then 200k (looking at you Wii) and that will spawn a whole load of sequels. Which again majority of the time end up being crap.
So as i said before, 200k is not that much these days but for a JRPG it is not so bad, if we used last weeks numbers it would sit 5th. Again making the feat look even more impressive. But say if we used i dunno say 20th dec week it would just make it into the top 25. Obviously not so good.
As a game owner i would much rather to see sequels based on merit of how good the game is then actual sales. But sadly we both know it doesn't work that way.
