I have nothing against the review, it's their opinion, so be it, but I just don't like the scoring system for games. I never agreed with it. It should be canned. That is all.

Yep, and the other side used the chance to bad mouth KZ2 and MGS4.  Thank god I don't keep a loaded gun next to my desk, otherwise the pure unadulterated stupid on these forums sometimes would make me paint the wall behind me with my brain.

I like EDGE reviews, scoring sometimes seems a bit iffy but the reviews themselves are a good read.

too many cutscenes and way too boring gameplay(atleast at the beginning before you get all the necessary shwag). considering pretty dumb story it was hilarious when i read all those reviews about "greatest story ever" or "book/movie like story" in MGS4 - have those reviewers even listened to the ridiculous dialogues of this game or watched atleast one average darky-kind-of anime series?

Very true. This is why I tend to ignore the scores they give and just read the main body of the review. Sometimes the score doesn't reflect the text, and either way it gives me a good idea as to whether I'll enjoy it or not.

1- Killzone 2 gameplay > killzone 2 graphics (its not like you played it anyway)

2- MGS series is not for everyone so i can understand why you dont consider it an "actual game"

Really, almost everyone should be happy with ODST scores:

1) if you love Halo you can shake you're head at the 'silly' low scores dragging the metacritic average score down but bask in the 100 and 90 plus reviews as the 'real deal'

2) if you see Halo as a generally great game but feel it is overrated, then you can look at the broader spread of scores, the metacritic average and feel that, this time, the score is more accurate and less influenced by hype and the Halo name

3) if you dislike Halo, etc. then there's the Italian view. Clearly the rest have fallen victim to the hype and the Halo brand name but a few bastion's of true remain to point out it's actualy really terrible.


This time, we really can all get along.
