EyePet Signals New PS3 Box Design

Amazon’s listing for EyePet seems to show a new style of boxart for the PlayStation 3, and whilst the cover might well not be final and subject to change (and is missing a few key branding elements on the spine) it does appear to be an official design.  What’s more interesting is a complete lack of PlayStation branding apart from the PS logo at the top left and the PlayStation Eye mark below.

We checked our various European press sources this morning for a definitive answer but EyePet was, for some reason, missing from the schedules and we couldn’t find any official boxart apart from that shown on Wikipedia that was released some time ago. This wouldn’t be the first time Amazon has uploaded images that haven’t turned out to be the real thing, mind, but we’ll no doubt hear more in Cologne.

That seems odd, I don't really see why a new one is needed...

I think its better we don't need "Playstation 3" twice on the front cover. Down the side and on the Actual casing on the top.

I really like it.

I prefer the old one, I want to have consistency!!! And if this was going to be for every game, the recently revealed R & C boxart (in my sig) would look similar, I think this is just a one off

I like the one with "PLAYSTATION 3" on the side. It looks classier. This doesn't even say "PS3" on it! Maybe it's because this is a PSN game.

It's nice but I wouldn't mind sticking with the current one, works fine and looks nice.

Also, I'm not sure I would like a switch since I have so many other games sporting the old look. Kinda want them all to have the same style, you know?

But if this was what they started with in the begining, I could see it working just fine.
