Funny thing about people mocking the PS3 controller. #1 if it ain't broke, don't fix it (for the general design) and #2 I'm sure you're talking about the analog stick. What's wrong with the analog sticks being placed perfectly where your thumbs will lie when you pick up the controller? Why does the 360 have a better controller because you actually have to move a finger from where it sits normall in order to make the controller function? Unless you're talking about the triggers? In that case....the L2 and R2 buttons do make the multiplat versions of FPS games the "bad controls" version

Bad controls are the least of the problems of a console Valve game.

As far as Valve, no one here should blame them for this. Did they ever make PS2 games? I don't think so... they make PC games and since Xbox1 and 360 are dumbed down PCs, Valve can work with them in parallel.

Valve just doesn't want to jump through hoops like that as they have been very successful and don't need to do this. They are not a bloated studio like some of these multiplat developers...

Didn't Half-life come out on the PS2?

Anyways I don't see this as a big deal. PS3 owners have plenty of other games to play over L4D 2, and HL E3 ect. More of my friends liked COD WaW Nazi zombies over L4D. I doubt PS3 only owners are going to lose sleep over this.

Well I respect your comments but everyone in the world does not think that valve are gaming "gods".  I never played any of their games before, I just recently heard about the success of left 4 dead on 360/Pc.  So really I am not their target audience and I could careless if they ever release that game or any game on the ps3 in the near future.  The problem with the train of thought of "we do not develop on the ps3" is that you have just alienated almost 25 million people that could have been a potential sale; personally I would not buy the game if it was released later for the ps3 because of that attitude.  I had an xbox and I did not even buy HL2 when it released because of all the news of it being a shoddy port and now after hearing the same news about the ps3 version of HL2 I must concur that they are probably the worst developer I have ever seen this gen for console ports (IMO).

I thought he was talking about just multiplatform FPS games on the 360 and PS3, with the PS3 being the "bad version" all the time because of the controls. Believe it or not, I was going to say "and anyway, he should laugh at the PS3 by default because it too uses a controller, as opposed to PC" and then a "/shrugs again" had he been talking about the PC.

But I deleted it because I just assumed that since he went straight for "FPS" and "PS3 controller", he was talking about comparing the 360 and PS3 controllers. Because everytime those two items are mentioned in the same sentence, the 360 controller always comes out on top.

Yes, damn them for Sony funding their games, and therefore not making them elsewhere. And damn Kojima for making MGS4 exclusive because he believed it was only possible on the PS3, and not because "I have no plans on ever making 360 games ever"

And damn Bungie too. Damn them because they are an independent dev now, so they should put Halo ODST on the PS3. And damned Epic for having Microsoft pay for Gears.
