I don't think we've seen enough of either game really. But I will say that FF13 will probably get better scores.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I've always liked Tales combat better, story wise, no idea yet, FF generally has a more surreal look rather than the anime style of Tales though, depends on what you like better in that case.

Eh, I don't think this is a even fair comparison.

We all know that the new Final Fantasy will be better than a new Tales.

I really can't possibily think of a way it'll be better. The only possible way would be the combat which would only be for people that only like Action games.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Final Fantasy 13 will have more content, be more polished, have better voice-acting, and tell a much more complicated (not necessarily better) story.  Tales of Graces could potentially be better but right now the cards are definitely stacked in favor of Final Fantasy 13.

As for which I'm looking forward to the most, I'd have to say Final Fantasy 13.  Final Fantasy has quite a few duds but despite that still has a better track record for having fun and enjoyable games than Tales of.

FF13 for both questions. Atleast that's how it's looking when I judge by my tastes.

4 ≈ One

Tales of Graces is Wii-exclusive, so I automatically don't like it. But even if I did have a Wii, I'd probably look forward to FFXIII more. I've only played ToA, which I found decent. And while I'm still expecting a lot out of Vesperia when it comes out for PS3, I'm still not that into Tales.

Currently playing: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, League of Legends

I don't know. I know regardless of the quality FFXIII will get high scores. There really isn't a whole lot known by Tales of Graces at this point.

Since my opinion of FFXIII is very low. There's not a whole lot to look forward in Final Fantasy 13. Lightning seems like a terrible main character. (Too angry in my opinion). Whom's only calling card is being as flashy as humanly possible. Final Fantasy XIII will have to wow me in it's Story. Which for myself, The tales series has almost consistently proven to be better.

* ~ With the small exception of FF6 and FF7, they had slightly better story lines than Tales of Phantasia and Destiny respectively. Even going as far to say FF7's story was better than Eternia's honestly. (Although tales of Phantasia beats Final Fantasy 7 in my favorite JRPG lists)

However, recently. The tales series has improved a ton, Symphonia and Vesperia has pushed the series very far and hopefully Graces won't disappoint.

However this whole Tales of Graces vs Final Fantasy 13 debate won't get anywhere. It's all a contest of which is hyped more and that would be Final Fantasy 13.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

like I said, depends on what art style you like better, I've never felt Tales was inferior in anyway due to the looks because I don't care about that. I also like turn based just as well as action based, but the Tales combat generally always had more depth, you should at least play both of them first.
