Which jrpg do you think will be the better game? Which jrpg are you looking forward to the most?

Tales of Graces

Final Fantasy 13

Final Fantasy 13 will have more content, be more polished, have better voice-acting, and tell a much more complicated (not necessarily better) story.  Tales of Graces could potentially be better but right now the cards are definitely stacked in favor of Final Fantasy 13.

As for which I'm looking forward to the most, I'd have to say Final Fantasy 13.  Final Fantasy has quite a few duds but despite that still has a better track record for having fun and enjoyable games than Tales of.

you don't know that yet, ToG is going to be the longest Tales game Namco's ever made according to their PR, and Tales VA was never bad to start with.

Tales of Graces is Wii-exclusive, so I automatically don't like it. But even if I did have a Wii, I'd probably look forward to FFXIII more. I've only played ToA, which I found decent. And while I'm still expecting a lot out of Vesperia when it comes out for PS3, I'm still not that into Tales.

who cares about the system? the real question is whether a game is good or not, if you've never really played previous tales besides 1 and automatically writes something off because you don't like what hardware it's on, then you'll miss out on many many good games.

Since my opinion of FFXIII is very low. There's not a whole lot to look forward in Final Fantasy 13. Lightning seems like a terrible main character. (Too angry in my opinion). Whom's only calling card is being as flashy as humanly possible. Final Fantasy XIII will have to wow me in it's Story. Which for myself, The tales series has almost consistently proven to be better.

* ~ With the small exception of FF6 and FF7, they had slightly better story lines than Tales of Phantasia and Destiny respectively. Even going as far to say FF7's story was better than Eternia's honestly. (Although tales of Phantasia beats Final Fantasy 7 in my favorite JRPG lists)

However, recently. The tales series has improved a ton, Symphonia and Vesperia has pushed the series very far and hopefully Graces won't disappoint.

However this whole Tales of Graces vs Final Fantasy 13 debate won't get anywhere. It's all a contest of which is hyped more and that would be Final Fantasy 13.

I'm looking forward to both personally, the only question I've always had though is, would it kill them to have some grass in FF13? I mean, the game looks damn nice already, why not just add some grass to it during fights or on "grass" lands?

I don't know.  I'd say Symphonia 2 was a step backwards, into a shed, down a well, and into shark-filled water.

Well, based on what I've seen so far I like the Tales art style much more than the FFXIII one, in character design FFXIII just stands no chance, same with battle systems.
So for me it's ToG >>>>>> FFXIII
I look more forward to ToV for PS3 as well (heck even ToS2 Pal release, but I'll probably get slaughtered for that..)

As much of an Anti FFXIII gamer i've been, i'd still say FFXIII. tales games... there just.... ew.. most of the time anyway.

that's because ToS2 was generally bad besides the combat system, they didn't even finish the game which is a real lol.

FFXIII better be better, it's only been in development for 500 years.

I'm looking forward to ToG way more than FF. I've never been into FF and I just don't care for the series much. Even the most critically acclaimed FF games bore me to death.

I'm sure FF13 will be a more critically acclaimed and "better" game according to the general public, but my brother, two friends, and I can't wait for ToG. We love Tales games.

Here is another Tales of Graces trailer (LQ) to give people more insight on ToG

I really don't know which game will be better. They both look like they will be awesome games so its hard to decide.
