true its been outselling the ps3 since end of 2008 now but now the weekly lead isnt big enough and can easily be irrelevant after sony cut the price. like how last year the ps3 was outselling the 360 allyear but it didnt mean shit in the end after the two 360 price cuts. the same thing can happen this year but it could be more devastating for microsoft if sony make the right moves.

and my point is the same as psrock's was. Why are regular members sitting here arguing over something this rediculous. My whole point is its a stupid topic and I don't get why we still are seeing threads like this in 2009. Its time to move on and talk about something else.

It really doesn't matter though if the comparison is fair or not. The point remains that in as equal of time frames that we can give , the PS3 is clearly selling better than the 360 despite the 360 being 1/3 - 1/2 the price. If the PS3 can keep this ratio up while still having a solid PS2 userbase in their pocket and lowering the PS3s price to reasonable levels in coming years, they will start to clearly pull away.
Why does this matter? The 360 had a 5 million lead when the ps3 came out and now has a 8 million lead. There is no hope for the ps3 to beat the 360 while this gen is relevent so this is just sad.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

In terms of aligned launches? PS3 already has pulled away. Although they have the potential to clearly pull away in a big way as the PS3 is still 200$ away from mass market's favorite price point.
