Too bad they have nothing to play with it.

More reason to be one of the first to offer something.

It's an interesting technology, but right now, I really don't think it's worth it. IMO, Wii Fit is just bollocks (I don't want to offend anyone with this, it's just my opinion). It worked okay in Shawn White but the game wasn't really good to begin with. Given to some skilled developpers, they could manage to do something great with it, but right now, it looks like a gimmick to me.

That's why it came up on GDC. Let's see if someone comes up with some interesting concepts, WiiWare is not high risk an ideal for this kind of thing.

There are a handful of games already that have used the balance board.

Shaun White Snowboarding - 1.03m - has gone on to be the game #1 game for the balance board. Anyone who has one and doesn't have this game is really missing out.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Think from a third party developers view... if they actually want to develop something for Wii Balance board, they would've developed something (albit good) for Wii instead.

If you looked 1 post above yours, you would notice I pointed out Shaun White. It went on to be the best version out of all the different versions.

You could make some good games on Wii, but make them great with adding Balance Board support.

And 9 out of 10 of them are gathering dust under the couch?

If you get dust UNDER your couch, I can't even begin to imagine how filthy your place is.

Gathering dust being an expression. And I said under the couch because it's the place I've seen most wii owners hide the balance.

But I'm really interested, how do you prevent dust from going under the couch? I mean, I clean my appartment really often, but everytime I do it, the most dusty places are under my bed and under my couch.
So... if you've got a solution, really, I'm interested.

Simple. You clean those bits that you seem to miss.

Yes, right next to the 9 out of 10 PS3s, which are used only as BluRay Players.

Exactly... isn't it obvious. No one uses any of their consoles.

The Wii goes unused because apparently all of them were bought by people who don't play games.

The PS3 goes unused because all of them were bought as a blu-ray player or in bulk to cure cancer.

The X360 goes unused because it has a 100% failure rate, so all of them sit there blinking at you.

There don't seem to be many excuses for handheld consoles, so perhaps people play them more, although that is rather odd considering people buy many more games for home consoles than handhelds.

What is wrong in asking more ideas than the examples shown in WiiFit? The Ski/Snowboard concept that has already been expanded in both We Ski(1.3M)/Shaun White(1M). You also have Skate it, Wii Music, Equilibrio (WW) trying different uses of it. I'd love to see more.

PS: WeSki is better ;)

absolutely nothing. I was just pointing out that there are games (some people claim there are none). In WW there is Tetris Party which uses the Balance Board too. I'm just saying some developers are already thinking of what to do with the Balance Board, and I agree more and varied games are always welcome.

Again, too few use for it makes it absolute unnecessary for user to "HAVE" to get it. THis is the same issue with PSeye. Yes, Burnout used it, but why should I pay 40-50 bucks for it so I can have slightly better experiences??

If Nintendo should ask for anything, maybe they should ask developers to make more games for their console?? Heck, or even show some (We-would-like-to-play)-esqu commericials to back those great AA games by third party

where's Mad-World Nintendo ad?

Call me when there are more Wii Balance boards in homes than PS3s in the US. Can't wait for that.
