 Actually no. If the previous makers had a start like sony, they would have gone under before breaking even. Sony could afford (just bearly) to spend 3 billion on the PS3 before it started recouping. Any of the previous makers would have had to close their doors.

You do know by time the PS3 started to make money per unit sold, they still had 2 billion dollars saved up remaining from the PS1 and PS2 eras. They fucked up yeah. But they didnt "just barly" Pull through the fiasco.

Not really.

First, we have to imagine that Hitler didn't kill anybody, just invaded some countries.

Then, after a year, he surrendered and spent the rest of his life delivering supplies to starving families. And yet people still hated him.

The PS3 was perfectly hate-able to begin with, but it isn't any more.

On another note ps3 > all whatever consoles you have. So if you have anything negative to say about it, that just makes all your consoles worse.

 

Childish ? yes, but you just compaired a gaming console to a guy responsible for the biggest war in known history. I don't think you can pass judgement on someone elses comments after that.

Thats like saying if Microsoft released their next OS for $1000. Will it fail? Yes, but it will still sell more than others who have released at that price.

OR

If APPLE released their next IPOD for $400. Will it sell. Hell yea but they will tremendously lose ground and probably not be market leader bt will still sell.

All I'm saying is that PS3.....the console that will be the highest selling 3rd place console or even 2nd can't be called a failure

So if APPLE released their latest IPOD nano for $400. Went from 75% market share to  25% and is third place or even second. You wouldnt call that a huge failure???

It will also be the highest sell 2nd or 3rd place mp3 player

no i would call that a blunder....a mistake

a Failure would = discontinuing PS3.......very low 3rd part support......very low SW sales......very low HW sales n so on
