Forums - Microsoft - I really miss the 'Xbox 360 is doomed' threads! Just one more for old times

so?

did it happen whatever the reason.....no

so PS3 isn't a failure

_______

if PS3 & 360 were launched as they were below cost.....by some company instead of a cash powerhouse like SONY or MS then that company would be bankrupt now.

so can we suddenly say...oh 360 was a failure to

hell no!

That makes absolutely no sense.

The price drop is the difference.  Now we're waiting on Sony.

You doomed thread fails, I'm sorry.

Key points you are missing:

Sony Price cut=MS is doomed

Wait for game "x"=MS is doomed

PS3 is actually outselling X360 in some convoluted way because of pricepoint=MS is doomed

LOL Gaylo sux har, KZ2 rulz=MS is doomed

2006...err.2007...oops...2008...hey guy, look over there, 2009 is the year of the PS3=MS is doomed

Please amend and repost.

The mass market has been waiting for a ps3 price cut. Once they realize that Sony cannot afford one, they will just buy a ps3 anyway and the xbox will be finnished!

What percentage of this "mass market" when they go window shopping, swing by the videogame section to see what the price of the PS3 is, and see if the price drops?

In an economy where unemployment went over 8% in the USA, where retirement funds are shrinking, and people are concerned that they may get fired at any minute, do you have a waiting pattern for a console to drop in price?  What percentage of people have the price of the PS3 in their mind?

And what would they have it in their mind for?  Is it to play BluRay movies?  If so, there are cheaper options than the PS3 for that.  Is it to play games?  The Wii and 360 are cheaper options.  And if price was the deciding factor, the 360 would be outselling the Wii at this point.

I'm sorry, but this is simply nonsense. How many times must Sony tell you that the Xbox 360 is the most expensive console on the market? It is, in part, Microsoft's pigheaded refusal to even try to compete with Sony on price point that has doomed the 360.

Too many users took this seriously...

Yup, microsoft are doomed..............

Afterall, they are only in a very comfortable 2nd place and also happen to have the highest games attach ratio of all 3 current gen systems.

Looks like its time to make funeral arrangements for the 360, don't you think?

When both HD systems are sharing the vast majority of 3rd party titles, imho that 2nd or 3rd place spot becomes irrelevant, unless if it´s for bragging rights from stupid fanboys.

"Yay my console beat yours"..here, have a pat on the back.

How many times must Sony tell you that you must get a second job to buy a ps3? What bad economy? What 9-5 first job? "Everyone will know discipline".

The ps3 is an entertainment hub, that can play/stream movies from Netflix,play/download games and connect to the superior Live network...oh,wait...
