I was thinking earlier about how whenever a new FPS is released people always say how it has an amazing multiplayer experiance but a mediocre single player campaign and I asked myself how many games I could remember where a majority of people praised both the single player and multiplayer of an FPS game. The only games this generation that came to mind was COD:MW and maybe COD:WAW. Bioshock had a great single player but didn't have an online feature. Resistance 2 was said to have good online play but an awful single player and now I hear people saying the same about Killzone 2 even though I strongly disagree, while the story is almost non existant it was an amazing experiance and while nothing done in the game was new, it was all done with great polish in a fun and exciting way. Regardless of my own feeling though, many people are saying it is a mediocre singleplayer including some reviewers. Halo was another game which many felt had a mediocre single player but an amazing online component. I remember even hearing some of the biggest Halo fanboys I know complaining about the single player. This obviously doesn't mean that all people feel this way about these games but it seems like a lot of people have something to say about almost every FPS having a mediocre singleplayer except for COD.
