@TheProf: Yes, i do know what you mean. Removing the part that is considered as a new market, removes also a part of the old market, twisting the numbers to favor the new market relevance.
What i was meaning is, that what WoW contributes in revenue, is away from the other market. Since the revenue isn't growing much, but the costs are, the other publishers than Activision-Blizzard needs to infiltrate the WoW market (or get the WoW players away from WoW with other kind of games).
Well Nintendo didn't close the market from people like you. It's just that you haven't been a part of Nintendos strategy yet. Then again, 3rd party support should be kept in mind, since they have been thinking Wii is somekind of a plague, while PS360 have largely relied on 3rd party offerings.
The HD platforms suffer the similar problems with Wii. When 3rd parties think that Wii games sell because of controls, they also think that PS360 games sell because of graphics. The ones who understand that it's not the graphics that sell the games, see the results on HD consoles and the ones that understand that it's not the controls that sell, see the results on Wii.
TP was a GC port, Brawl had some issues, but is more deeper game gameplaywise (though, Melee was more enjoyable to play, IMO). Well, i'm not sure what you're after, but since it appears to be highly a opinion related point, i guess it's not that important in the discussion were having.
As for the lack of releases, it's largely for the 3rd parties to blame, especially when we compare it between Wii and PS360/PC.
Ei Kiinasti.
Eikä Japanisti.
Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.
Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
