Forums - Gaming - Pure Speculation - Why is PS3 version of TLR so late?

A simpler question for me is
"If they are willing to delay the NA/EU versions of FF13 to coinside in a simul release, why not do the same for TLR?

PS
No matter what people say, I don't agree with the JP only release= timed exclusive.

I figured the PS3 version was canned. SE hasn't mentioned it at all for months.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

TLR sucks balls

I think you are confusing it with Killzone 1

Well, as we all know, any late ports have to have additional features to make it the most featureful package. Look at Eternal Sonata, Bioshock, and even bad games like Alone in the Dark.

It has to have something speacial.

@ makingmusic

Exactly. Why was the PC version also delayed?

I say it's the same reason SO4 and ToV are 360 exclusives.

Moneyhatting.

Sure, there could be technical problems, but why would they take a YEAR to fix? And why would they release it on 360 with technical problems intact?

I know square enix have a problem with Unreal Engine on PS3 that why they release it on Xbox 360 frst before PS3 version and i know they will release PC version on this summer before PS3. Actually, UE3 is a good engine depend on machine performance and good programming. Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey used this engine and they give amazing graphic and no more technical issue same as the Last Remnant. I think square enix no more experience with UE3 so why the Last Remnant have technical issue but this game still great.

It's a fun game but it's mediocre :/

TLR sucks major hairy ass.

I think it is because of the FFXIII demo on the PS3 version.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

Many developers have struggled with UE3 on the PS3. Square enix have had at least some experience with IU so could pass information gained on amongst the developers for 360 developing.

1. IU was made by tri-ace, not Square Enix
2. IU did not use the UE 3, it uses a tri-ace engine, an enhanced version of which is being used for SO4 (from the recent IGN interview)

Anyway, I think they are delaying it further to try and sort out some of the problems with the game, and it is a happy coincidence that it will be coming out at the same time as the demo
