This thread need some serious bets between users.

Anyway I bet that Killzone 2 will have an better metacrit score than FEAR 2!

Some people who want to join the bet?

The loser(s) can't use the letter 's' for a week and have to use the letter 'Z' What ya think?

According to metacritic GTA IV is better than Mario Galaxy, Orange Box, Metroid Prime, and Soul Calibur 1......

Well considering your posts you say Fear is better than Killzone and looking to metacritic you are right.

So if Fear 2 will be better than Killzone 2 why will the metacritic score of KZ 2 will be higher then?

Yeah I think you know Killzone 2 will be better than Fear 2 but you just don't want to admit it =p.

I'm asking you again, are you saying GTA IV is better than Mario Galaxy, Orange Box, Metroid Prime, and Soul Calibur 1?

Better than Metroid prime though but yeah SMG and Orange box and Soul Calibur 1 are better...;SO?

You will have to excuse me if I don't respect any of your opinions from now on then.

I see, so you are this kind of guy ' If your opinion is not in line with mine you are wrong and suck!'?

I still don't see why you bail out the bet though,  you are making tens of comments how Fear 2 will be better than Killzone 2 but when we will use metacritic you bail out with a simple excuse called GTA IV'.......And that is something I don't get.

GTA IV is not Killzone 2,   Killzone was hyped like hell, was called a halo killer and still reviewers give it an fair score, something we can't say about GTA IV.   Why do you think they will treat Killzone 2 the same as GTA IV?

It doesn't suck, it just shows that you don't care for innovation and overall new experiences, which is fine, but it's not something I can respect. And it should have been obvious to you as to why I'm avoiding the bet, if something as craptastic as GTAIV can score not only above San Adnreas (which is a far far better game), but also the games I mentioned then it's not really a measure of which game is better.

GTA IV? craptastic?

It kept the barebones gameplay of San Andreas and added a whole bunch of crap (non-stop cell phone for one). So yes, when it comes to the GTA series it was craptastic.

You can't handle realism? Well, Rockstar said they were making a fresh from the series so you have to admit, that's understandable

Understandable that it's weaker than GTA III yes, understandable that it's so bad yet scored so well, no.

The bottom line is, Killzone 2 is a ps3 exclusive, and a lot of ps3 fans are here posting that it is the be all end all of gaming. I get it, its something you can play while the rest of us cant. While it does look very good, I think we need to wait and see what reviews the game will get as GG has yet to make a AA game...let alone a AAA one.

Monolith on the other hand has proven themselves on may ocasions. I am getting FEAR 2 for PC day 1. Maybe the 360 version as well if freinds pick it up...

Then, there's the off chance that we actually like it, heaven forbid.

Explain to me why Ninja Blade will be good. Does From Software have a good track record?

Killzone 2.

F.E.A.R 2 will be the better game.

Killzone 2 will sell more, and I'll most likely be buying KZ2 (unless there is a catastrophe with the review scores. Yes I trust IGN and Gametrailers to give me their opinion, and they are usually in line with mine)

Who is hyping Ninja Blade? The game looks decent but I don't see any running around claiming it will be AAA. I see more hype for Demon's Soul which from the same mediocre developer. Although the games didn't turn out well, I could understand the hype for Lair and Haze because both Factor 5 and Free Radical in particular had solid reputations. Guerilla Games has a mediocre track record. Does that preclude Killzone 2 from being exceptional? No, it could come out and be the best game ever. It's just unwise assume it will be when the developer has yet to show such capability.

Until both games are released and KZ2 proves GG's worth, it would be rational to assume that a game from Monolith, F.E.A.R. 2, will turn out better than a game for Guerrilla games. If I'm a C student and your a A student, it would be natural to assume that you would be the most likely one to get an A on the next test. It doesn't mean that I wouldn't get an A and you wouldn't get a C, but based on all the available evidence you would be more likely to get an A in my scenario. When it comes to development credentials Monolith is the A student and Guerrilla Games is the C student.

Are they hyping it because they are interested how this game will be at the end or hyping it because they think it will be great?

Makingmusic has made a thread about it some time ago and the comments in that thread were 'I keep my eye on it but I don't expect that it will be a great game' (they used a term but I forgot it =p.).

i'll probably get both, but i never played through the expansion of the original fear so i gotta do that first. So for now i'll probably just grab kz2 and then wait a little with t3h ph34r

"[TimeGate] took the story in a direction that we didn't intend," he added. "We look at Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate as an alternate universe, a 'what could have been', and because of that it doesn't necessarily diminish the story that we were trying to tell. F.E.A.R. was about Alma, F.E.A.R. 2 is about Alma, and we wanted to continue the story the way we originally intended."

So I don't think you need to worry about playing the expansions. Seems like they're pretty much ignoring them.

i see. Well i just ordered 6 games recently i need to finish but i guess that means i'll be picking fear 2 up sooner than expected.

Are the fans really just excited because they are looking to rub an exclusive in someones face? I really hope that the PS3 fans are just thrilled about the game coming out in general. Granted, it is mentioned by almost everyone that Killzone 2 is an exclusive, but I'd rather hope that people on this site aren'ts so blinded by their own fanboydom that they simply want to rub it in everyones face that they can play the game.

To answer your previous question, I had a PS3 but sold it lst summer.

In any case, this is the very resonable reply. I hope Killzone 2 turns out great as its one of the games I plan on playing when I pick up ps3 again. And if its great, I hope it gets the sales it deserves.

However, when comparing Killzone2 and FEAR 2...its really hard to imagine how Monolith could screw up FEAR. After all, they pull a AA game out of their ass using previous game engine, models and textures (see condemned 2), for a different publisher (SEGA).

FEAR is their franchise, they finally own it. It would be like Nintendo fucking up Mario or Sega screwing up Soni...errr wait.

So all I am saying is that thus far FEAR looks to have the upper hand on Killzone 2 based on the developers pedigree. All we know Killzone 2 could be an amazing title that becomes the next "it" game. We will see when it comes out...

LOL. Man that fun meter graph is priceless.
