The bottom line is, Killzone 2 is a ps3 exclusive, and a lot of ps3 fans are here posting that it is the be all end all of gaming. I get it, its something you can play while the rest of us cant. While it does look very good, I think we need to wait and see what reviews the game will get as GG has yet to make a AA game...let alone a AAA one.
Monolith on the other hand has proven themselves on may ocasions. I am getting FEAR 2 for PC day 1. Maybe the 360 version as well if freinds pick it up...

Are the fans really just excited because they are looking to rub an exclusive in someones face? I really hope that the PS3 fans are just thrilled about the game coming out in general. Granted, it is mentioned by almost everyone that Killzone 2 is an exclusive, but I'd rather hope that people on this site aren'ts so blinded by their own fanboydom that they simply want to rub it in everyones face that they can play the game.

To answer your previous question, I had a PS3 but sold it lst summer.
In any case, this is the very resonable reply. I hope Killzone 2 turns out great as its one of the games I plan on playing when I pick up ps3 again. And if its great, I hope it gets the sales it deserves.
However, when comparing Killzone2 and FEAR 2...its really hard to imagine how Monolith could screw up FEAR. After all, they pull a AA game out of their ass using previous game engine, models and textures (see condemned 2), for a different publisher (SEGA).
FEAR is their franchise, they finally own it. It would be like Nintendo fucking up Mario or Sega screwing up Soni...errr wait.
So all I am saying is that thus far FEAR looks to have the upper hand on Killzone 2 based on the developers pedigree. All we know Killzone 2 could be an amazing title that becomes the next "it" game. We will see when it comes out...
