Then, there's the off chance that we actually like it, heaven forbid. Explain to me why Ninja Blade will be good. Does From Software have a good track record? |
Who is hyping Ninja Blade? The game looks decent but I don't see any running around claiming it will be AAA. I see more hype for Demon's Soul which from the same mediocre developer. Although the games didn't turn out well, I could understand the hype for Lair and Haze because both Factor 5 and Free Radical in particular had solid reputations. Guerilla Games has a mediocre track record. Does that preclude Killzone 2 from being exceptional? No, it could come out and be the best game ever. It's just unwise assume it will be when the developer has yet to show such capability.
Until both games are released and KZ2 proves GG's worth, it would be rational to assume that a game from Monolith, F.E.A.R. 2, will turn out better than a game for Guerrilla games. If I'm a C student and your a A student, it would be natural to assume that you would be the most likely one to get an A on the next test. It doesn't mean that I wouldn't get an A and you wouldn't get a C, but based on all the available evidence you would be more likely to get an A in my scenario. When it comes to development credentials Monolith is the A student and Guerrilla Games is the C student.
