Sadly, Grand Theft Auto will clean up GOTY this year.
If it doesn't, then 99% of reviewers have caved in to the outcry that GTA4 was (briefly) the number 1 ranked game of all time. It doesn't deserve GOTY (imo), but if it doesn't get it, I've truly lost faith in game reviewers (because they don't stand by their convictions).

Are you serious? Gears 2 and Resistance 2 are candidates, but LBP and MGS4 aren't? Let me put that into perspective.

LBP: 9.5
Gears 2: 9.5 (sequel to a game that won game of the year two years ago, suspicious if it won again?)
Resistance 2: 9.5

EDIT: Enough with the 'MGS4 is a movie' argument. We're all sick of it. If MGS4 is a movie, God of War is porn and Gears of War is a chainsaw simulator.

MGS4 is "more of the same."
IMHO, games with big numerals like "4" after them shouldn't qualify for GotY awards.
My vote is with LBP. Best game this gen on any platform.
