Because that's the pricetag Microsoft slaps on its adverts and that is the price the majority of the public are seeing.

Face the facts, the 360 is selling horribly for its price.

Both will sell well, But Price and games like Fable 2, Gears 2, Left 4 Dead plus the family friendly bundles that microsoft are releasing mean i only see one outcome this xmas.............. A 360 sales victory.

End of the 360? Not a chance................. Sony has met its match financially.............. Sony play dirty, Microsoft play dirtier.

And apart from God of war 3 (maybe in 2009 but i doubt it) and Gran turismo, What potential console selling games do Sony have left?

Sure, Sony may still have a price cut up thier sleeve for next year but microsoft could let sony sales pick up and if sony starts to catch up they will just drop the price again, Microsoft themselves have stated that they know when they are gonna drop the price of the 60GB 360 to that "Sweetspot" price of $199

The 360 also has some Great games coming out in 2009 and due to some been delayed or some taking longer to develop than first thought (I'm talking about you Alan wake and Splinter cell: conviction) i would say that the 360's line up is easily as strong as sonys

I had thought for sure they would get a cut in march, as can be seen in previous posts, but unless sony has some magic this quarter, there will be no cut, they have to make a profit in their gaming arm, if they do not, with the state of the rest of the company, they could lose money on the quarter as a whole. the key is software they must unload a hell of a lot of software, barring that, start pushing qure more aggressively, and charge for more online things, easy way to make money, i know its one of the draws they have, but at the moment they need to post positive quarters. psp most likely makes money on hardware despite abysmal software sales, the ps2 also makes money on hardware, and with it going open source there will be less revenue from its game sales (well even less than what the decline in sales was showing).

No idea why 360 owners want to compare "Game selections" at this point of console life. That was so half year ago. To say 360 has better games in 09 just doesn't stand true anymore.
