My brother's buying the game eventually anyway, and I don't need a spare copy of a (most likely) sloppily programmed resource hog of a game that probably won't even run on my 2-year old laptop.

I'll reserve judgment for the game once I get to actually try it, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Any "big" review that comes out around the game's release is bound to be artificially enhanced, anyway.

@vlad321: On what setup? Of course it will run at least adequately on a 360 since it was built for the damn thing.

Let's just say that I'm quite suspicious of any and all "Big magazine" reviews of a predicted blockbuster game that come out within 4-6 weeks of the games release (either before or after), regardless of the game in question. Whether the game actually deserves the score or not (IMO) will be decided when I actually try the game and not before, as I said.

When I look at the Eurogamer and IGN reviews you posted, I don't see a critical, balanced, professional opinion. I see something more akin to a review of C&C: Red Alert that I wrote to my local school paper when I was thirteen years old, and a raving C&C-fanboy.

Soon as I upgrade my console to a Wii60 yeah this is one of the first games I'll buy.

I'll buy it with a X360 next week.

I won't be buying Fallout 3.

I'm one of the few people that find bethesda to be an overhyped developer and that their games are clunky in design.

You can call me a noob or whatever, but if the games controls aren't intuitive enough on the default setting that I can make my way through the games first dungeon/area without dying continually, there's something seriously wrong with the game design.

Fallout 3 looks like a game with a compelling story but lacking in the controls/gameplay department (much like mass effect, except I love bioware).

Also, the two versions available to me (PS3 or PC) have serious issue with them, I'm definitely not paying for a lazy port or spyware (if the reports are to be believed).

Normally I'd agree. Betheseda is a overhyped developer... I don't think I like the Elder Scrolls series as much as most people. ( I understand why it's a classic and Legend amongst some gamers though) But I would buy Fallout 3 based on what I've played of the original series... I might be in for disappointment or a pleasent surprise... I don't know... but I'll at least give it a try.
