That is "shipments", which is why it's a better number. "Shipments" are often more accurate than "sales" on a long enough timeline. This is because it is easier for one company to track what they've shipped than to add up a bunch of retail sales *estimates* from all sorts of different sources, especially for a game that will sell 100s of Ks in smaller, poorly tracked European markets. Want to subtract 100K for "copies on shelves"? Go ahead. But don't pretend there's almost 700K "copies on shelves."

I admit I was wrong. Gran Turismo 4 is very likely to have sold 10 million copies.

GT5 is listed as a 2009 release.  Somehow I doubt the PS3 will hit 40 million install base sometime next year.

Yeah, but I'm not talking about 40M when the game releases, but roughly 40M by the time GT5 would hit 10M, like Mario Kart Wii. Of course, you not understanding this is reasonable, as I miswrote in that reply you quoted.

I'd also like to say,if the next pokemon that get's released for a new hendheld(I'm talking about main pokemon games)if this has a WW launch it could do it,also if it launches in the holidays.
